How could you treat Bojack like a monster, Charlotte?
He was no threat to you or your family.
He came to you as your friend, you had a few months
of good times together, and then you banished him,
because of a mistake your daughter made?
Penny, Bojack just wanted a moment of your time at
Oberlin, but you wouldn't even let him talk.
Now you tell those reporters that *HE'S* the villain
in your life?! HOW COULD YOU DO THAT TO HIM?!
You could have just called a truce and then each went
your separate ways, but instead, you vilified him.
You should be grateful that he came into your lives,
because you have no idea what he has been through since the day
he was born.
He deserved better, cowards.

It's just that, he wasn't born a monster. His parents were the monsters.
Charlotte is more of a mother to Penny in a day than Bojack's mom has been to him
her entire life.
I know Bojack made mistakes, but he wasn't evil. He wasn't a monster like Scar from The Lion King who murdered his brother and tried to have his nephew killed multiple times. Penny was the one who couldn't keep her legs crossed on his boat that night. She twisted his arm into going to bed with her.
Bojack was dealt a very bad hand of cards in his life. He tried to be better, but in the end, it just didn't work out. Now, his reputation is ruined because a couple of sleezeball reporters were just 'doing their jobs', his half-sister Hollyhock cut all ties with him, he's broke and homeless because he said Xerox of a Xerox.
Believe me, I watched every episode. It was upsetting what he went through.
So, again, sorry if I was being a bit harsh, but when something upsets me, I tell it like it is.
Let's not start a fight over this.

Me: (knocks on the door of Charlotte and Penny's house. They answer the door.)
Charlotte: "Can I help you?"
Me: "Charlotte Moore and Penny Carson? I really think you should see this."
(Takes my phone and opens up a FaceTime. Brings up Bojack.)
Bojack: "Charlotte, Penny, please don't slam the door on me. I just want a moment of your time. I need to explain things and call a truce--"
Charlotte: Woah, woah, woah. I'm gonna have to stop you right there. Explain things? EXPLAIN THINGS?! We don't want to hear anything from you. If you want to 'explain' things, go to Sarah Lynn's grave, raise her from the dead and 'explain' things to her. This conversation is over. Good day.
Bojack: I'm your friend, Charlotte and Penny. I care about you both!"
Penny: (just as her mother is about to close the door) "Wait, mom."
(to Bojack) "You CARE about me? Just like you cared about my girlfriend who got alcohol poisoning because of you? That could have been me! I should have called the police on you the moment she got sick. You are a monster! Do you hear me? A MONSTER! There is nothing good about you and there never will be! Now, go away and never contact us again!" (Pushes the end call button) "And as for *you* sir--"
Me: "It's okay. I don't want any trouble, so I'll go. Have a nice day."
Door slams.
The moral of the story: Show business is bad bloody news. Any girl who gets involved with a celebrity, could end up with a Harvey Weinstein or Bill Cosby, and then their lives will never be the same again.

There's absolutely no way BoJack can mend their scars because the damage is already done and there's no turning back for him. What's done has been done, and not even beyond the final season will bring them together just like his sitcom show. So, it is now and forever.
As for "you" (not directly, just part of RP), it really shows that BoJack had used you to contact them, thus reopening their wounds due to the horrible, unforgivable reputation, and it is you who just enabled the toxic person to do so, despite the fact that he's changed.
