Because You are Special (Radio Edit, Preview)
I know that this is not quite a Valentine's Day submission, but I guess it's close enough. Actually, after years of thinking, I decided to upload another not-quite-finished trance track of mine, four years in the making, edited it slightly so that it fits the "radio edit" format for this upload, so that it's at least more pleasing to listen to, with the music not ending too abruptly. I might finish this track later, maybe sometime this year if I can, depending on my IRL free time.
Trance is known for being a very repetitive music genre. Basically, the same melody is being played over and over again throughout, usually every 8 bars, sometimes only 4 or even just 1. So I thought, what if I make a trance track that is not repetitive? What if I write a melody that stretches over 80 bars or more, and played only once? And that's when I decided to experiment.
I should probably do a new thumbnail for my music submissions. x_o This one I've been using is very old now.

The lack of repetitiveness is what I look for in trance, ironically. The trance I like best usually varies the melody by a few notes every few repetitions and isn't afraid to play with the volume, shift key, and even shut the melody down for a short while.
I really liked this piece, but then I like most of your music.
You should probably link, or at least mention that you have more on bandcamp/etc. every time you post music.

Thanks! =3
Yeah, I also prefer trance with more varied melody, too. Not saying that trance with repetitive melody is bad; there should still be some variance to, for example, the volume and filtering, to keep it more interesting and to not bore the listeners.
I did, in fact, vary the way the melodies end in some of my tracks. Listen to, for example, my track, "Alive Again". The variance was necessary due to the closed chord progression and because of the way the melody seamlessly loops around itself; its final part had to be altered upon completing its final loop, so that it can segue towards the outro more seamlessly. It balked me that some trance musicians don't do this, which made the melody seem to get cut off abruptly.
And yeah, I should probably do that more often. ^_^;; Makes it easier for my fans to look for my more "complete" works.
