Trinket loves to gather little trinkets from all her bounties that she got the nickname Trinket and it stuck.
Trinket always gets her target and will fight tooth and nail to get the job done.
Trinket is what the Collector was looking for to make his collection stronger.
It was a quiet night on the Anikora planet as Trinket was getting information on her latest targets. Unfortunately all the information that she could gather was the target’s partner is rumored to have died in a exploration mission and the target went mad and stole a ship claiming to bring her back.
“Not ideal, but I worked with less.” Trinket said as she copied the data to her pad and headed to her cargo ship. As she approached the space faring vessel she made a small detour to a landing bay security.
“Hey Seal. I got a question for ya.” She said with her usual fake chipper tone to get info.
“Cut the pleasantries T. I know that tone all too well.” The guard said as he motioned for the next traveler to come forward.
“Fine, fine Seal. I am looking for someone that stole a ship.”
“And?”
“And I thought you might know something or can show me something. With what I was reading it sounds like a scorned lover.”
“Can’t say I personally know anything, but another guard might.” Seal replied as he finished the scan on the passenger. “Be back in five.” Seal called out to the stand by security agent.
“Got a date of the crime?” Seal asked as he led Trinket to the security data base.
“Eight weeks ago today.”
Seal pulled up the data logs of that day and took a cord plug out from under his right ear and plugged it in.
A few seconds later Seal unplugged himself from the computer.
“Your target was definitely not being subtle dear. She essentially bum rushed the desk and the security. Reaver was caught off guard when she was running and carrying a parcel of some kind.”
“Maybe she was planning to be gone a while? Or not come back?” Trinket asked as she leaned against the desk.
“Maybe. But you should know T. Your target wasn’t alone.”
“Explain Seal.” Trinket said as she stood up and looked down at Seal.
“A pilot walked in a half hour earlier and got in the ship that went missing just before your target.”
“So you think the hostage is actually working with her?”
“Yes.”
“And why are you just a security agent and not a detective agent Seal?” Trinket asked with a smile.
“I wasn’t programed to be a detective T.”
“So Seal? I wasn’t trained to be a bounty hunter yet I am the one they go to if they wanna get the target.” Trinket said with a laugh as she headed for the door. “Payment to the same account as usual?”
“Yes.” Seal said as he got up from the desk.
Trinket decided to scout the planet from orbit for the next few weeks first to see if the stolen ship wasn’t a red haring. Sadly it was as she found it hovering under the ocean, just under regular eye sight.
“Well they aren’t here, but the ship is. Okay now think Trinket think. You know that you know the answer to this but you can’t think of it right now, but what is it?” Trinket said as she looked at the video feed showing the miss placed ship as the authorities sent agents in to retrieve the ship.
She turned from the feed as she looked over her notes on the data pad. “Her accomplice was a pilot. There are two of them, not just one.” Trinket’s eyes went wide “What if there was—” just then the police chief called her.
“Trinket. I would like to thank you for finding the pirate’s ship, but this isn’t the one stolen.” The chief said.
“You sure about that? What if they changed information to throw you off the trail?”
“How would they do that? All the scans —“
“Show me pictures of the damn pirate ship. The one that the scans say that ship should be.”
“No need to be rude Trinket.” The police chief said with a sneer as he sent the picture files over.
Trinket looked over the pictures. “You are right Chief, this is the pirate ship now. Along with those other three.” She said as she turned to show all the pictures to the chief. “Your pirate seems to jump ship often, but with this I have a idea what we need to search for. Thank you for your time chief.” Trinket said with a salute and ended the call.
“You are a very wise girl.” A unknown voice said, causing Trinket to jump up and draw her gun on the figure.
“Who the fuck are you?!” Trinket, literally, barked at the figure.
“Usually I get warmer welcomes. I am the Collector. I am here to take you to my realm to work for me.”
During the time the Collector was talking Trinket took the time to fire her weapon, but something kept the plasma bolt stopped in mid air.
“...Okay that is new.” Trinket said dropping the gun and looking at the plasma bolt in mid air.
“Sadly our time is cut short now because when I leave the ship will blow up.” the Collectors said looking down at the bolt.
“How do you know that?” Trinket asked looking up at where the Collector stood to find he wasn’t there and felt a hand on the back of her head as everything went to black.
Trinket thought this was what death felt like as she waited in the darkness. She then felt like she was laying on a bed.
“Is this the casket I’ll be burned in?” Trinket thought.
“You can open your eyes whenever you want sweetie. The Collector is brining you something to eat.” A soft, velvety feminine voice said.
Trinket slowly opened her eyes and saw what could only be described as a living plush... thing sitting next to her.
“What the fuck happened?” Trinket asked as she sat up suddenly, causing the blanket covering her to fly off and expose her upper breast.
“Well the Collector knew that this job of yours was going to kill you,” Deanna said softly pulling the blanket up and covering her exposed breast, “and he wanted you to join our family.”
Something about that, hearing that she was wanted for this family made her heart skip a beat.
“So what now?” Trinket asked.
“Well you will live here with all of us others. The Collector will give us some jobs to do from time to time, but here we don’t have to worry about aging or death.” Deanna said softly, gently pushing Trinket back into a laying position.
“Jobs? What do I have to blow him? Or strip for him on demand?” Trinket said with a laugh.
“I don’t ask that of my pets, but I don’t turn down the chance either.” The Collector said with a laugh as he walked in with a tray of food.
Trinket didn’t say anything as she hid her face.
“Now dear usually my jobs for my dear pets are to spread my reach outside my pocket realm, or sometimes cook. Deanna here is basically the den mother of my pets. She is here to help you with anything you might need. I’ll head out to visit the others while you get dressed and eat.” The Collector said as he handed the food tray to Deanna and headed out the door.
“Um... Deanna right?”
“Yeah? What is it hun?” The living plush kangaroo replied as she sat the tray on the desk by the bed.
“How did he know I was going to die? How was I going to die?” Trinket asked looking up at Deanna.
“He watched your timeline. He saw that you were going to pass from a pirate attack so he decided to step in and bring you home.” Deanna said with a soft smile as she pealed the fruit. “Your body should be open to eating this.” She said as she handed her a pealed apple.
“Was I sold out?” Trinket asked as she held the apple in her hand.
“Yes.”
“By who?”
“A cyborg I believe.” Deanna said as she started to peal a orange
“A agent sold me out?!” Trinket screamed and jumped out of bed, fully exposing herself to the cold weather. “Who?! Was it Seal?! Reaver?! Who?!”
“Hun please calm down and eat something. You haven’t eaten in days while you were asleep. If it makes you feel better, the Collector took care of them.”
Trinket fell back on the bed and bit into the apple. “So I am essentially dead in my home reality?”
“Sorry dear, but yes.” Deanna said softly hugging Trinket.
“What about -“
“Your partner? the Collector is going to be talking to her to see if she would like to come here.”
“How do you know all this Deanna?”
“The Collector talks to me about his plans and issues just like all everyone else dear. Now eat and put on some clothes. You may not need the clothes here, but the Collector likes to keep a common decency rule in place.” Deanna said with a soft smile and leaned over and gave Trinket a kiss on the head.
