My fursona is more of a reflection of myself so here I am lying on my bed, daydreaming, pondering, thinking about my hopes, dreams and desires, in quiet solitude, loneliness. Spirals have become more of a personal aesthetic, embracing the philosophy on continuity that keeps on spinning and spinning. I felt that more and more things were becoming revealed to me from life's lessons, things I felt people don't realize or have forgotten.
This was a project that I had started in FALL 2008, during my first year in a community college. I didn't work much on this because of where my priorities went and from time to time I'd work on it a little, making some changes as I progressed. Erasers are very helpful tools in creating some interesting techniques and effects.

I don't think they get in the way at all; if anything, they bolster it! =O
What's great is seeing the spiral pattern boldly imprinted on your fur then reiterated as a subtle border around your character. ^^
It's definitely an emotional piece of work, and I think the emotion is conveyed well given what I see. ;3
