Palegaze squatted a mansion in Waterdeep, that people believed was haunted. While exploring the building further he discovered a secret door in the cellar. Behind it was hidden a portal to Shadowfell. In there he found the lich dragon Kistarianths spell book. She speaks to him trough the book and teaches him it’s secrets. In return he sold her his soul. But he hopes to get it back if he manages to resurrect her.

Palegaze mumbles to himself, while thinking. If he senses he’s more powerful than you, he will let you know you’re not equals. He tends to mock less intelligent people by speaking slower and in easier terms. His life goal is to become more powerful than legendary dragons. He’s very self conscious about his height. Therefor he disguises himself as taller as he actually is by putting on a jacob sheep skull and being carried by an invisible minion. The skeletal arm are his arcane focus. If you mock him you should be prepared for his wrath.
