best combo I know is, Maha Vailo (level 4 Light, Spellcaster/effect, 1550atk/1400def) and Mage power (equip spell).
Maha gains 500 atk points for every spell card equipped to it IN ADDITION to the effects that those cards give.
Mage power increases the atk and def of a monster by 500 for each spell or trap you have on the field, including it's self
maha gains 1500 atk points for each axe of despair, 500+500x for mage power (x= number of magic and trap cards on your side of the field), 1200 for malevolent nuzzler, and 1000 for black pendant!

It's immune to mirror force because it's not in attack position!
