A little scrap peice for the FC art show. I don't do a lot of "modern" pics so it's fun to do one every once in a while. Nothing like hot coco on a cold, snowy day! 8x5 watercolour on illustration board.

One of the reasons I like this image is because it reminds me of the misty mornings on Lake Silverwood when my friends the Alves and I would take out the SL "Pugnacious" to "Stretch her legs." One of the advantages of owning a steam boat was that there was plenty of hot water for tea, coffee and cocoa.
Any picture with Hot cocoa is win :p I really love the blue gear, especially the fuzzy mittens. And I like the cute simple snow and such, ibut it seems to make the face seem out of place being colored in a more detailed fashion. Or maybe I'm just crazy :p

I was trying to make the viewer focus on the face and keep the rest loose and dreamy. After reading comments it's worked for viewers and not for others. And that's the best you can hope for:)
