hmm... id estimate whole solar systems. what pushed them back were the Savage, beings they couldnt assimilate and an eldritch force that pushed them back.
The Hives still enormous, even if one hive is destroyed, the Ilim Empress can jump to other bodies she has in her chain of planets... but unwise if someone killed one of her personal bodies... she tends to come back with a vengeance.

Not entirely. Nirvana hung out with her cause no one in her school does. Everyone she knows ends up busy and xena seems to have the time for her.
Xena originally hung out with her cause hive reasons. She became Carisols apprentice as a good relations thing and ended up becoming Nirvanas best friend.
