Rooftop relaxation
"You know, I enjoy getting to take breaks like these with you." The dragon smiled at the jackal as they both sat down on the edge of the rooftop, setting down a lunchbox between them. "Especially on days and nights like these, when the stars are out and shining brightly, on top of everything being quiet and peaceful. I know we're taking a pause from patrolling, but still, it's rather nice."
"Indeed." Tomb Watcher nods to the dragon, cracking open the lunchbox and pulling out the thermos and a protein bar, unraveling the latter and munching down on it with gusto. "We have been going at it for a while now, so it was about time to have one."
Tomb Guardian nodded back and pulled out a sandwich from the box, carefully undoing the plastic covering before taking a bit. "Not to mention we have a pretty good view right here." He gestures to the cityscape ahead of them with a smile. "It's not often people get this chance, heroes or otherwise. Between all that we do, in and out of costume, moments like these make it that much more worth running around in spandex and fighting supervillains."
"When the buildings aren't knocked down by Doctor Recluse or anyone else who is happy to lay out destruction on a whim." Tomb Watcher replies with a soft sigh. "Tea?" He offers the thermos to the dragon.
"Yes please, and thank you." He happily accepts the thermos, taking a swig. "Mmmm...haaah. That hit the spot, heh. Jasmine, eh? Pretty nice choice of flavor."
"Well, it is one of your favorites, and you have been teaching me how to make it better. So really, thank yourself."
"Ah, I see. Well, you still took the time to make it just for me...so c'mere!" Tomb Guardian pulls the jackal into a tight but playful one-armed hug, getting a chuckle from Tomb Watcher in response.
"Hey, be careful, you're going to make me drop my bar!"
