Decided to give this one a couple of interesting ideas.
So a female Link is something I don't mind Nintendo doing if they ever do a game where you play as one. I don't know if there is a lore reason about whether or not the hero's spirit requires the incarnations of Link to be male. But I don't mind it if they do it.
That said, all the fanart I have ever really seen depicting a female Link is either impractical, sexualized, or just... doesn't make sense. So I decided to do my own. While she definitely has a nice body underneath all that armor, she is not showing any of it off. Instead, Link is protecting herself as much as she can in this dungeon she seems to be figuring out with that map in her hands. She expects danger, and is prepared for it.
I also decided to make a fake Zelda title: Twilight's Requiem. I have my own little fan story that I gave her. Something about her being the great granddaughter of Twilight Princess's Link and the maiden Ilia. She's got to save Hyrule from a revived Ganondorf and all that. She also runs into Navi the fairy as well. But I think I am going to stop right there with that idea. I know how I am and would want to continue making this but I don't think Nintendo would be all that happy about me going on to make a story of one of their franchises, even if it is blantant fan writing.

Ah yes, Linkle. I don't consider her a actual Link for two reasons: there already is a real Link in the game she is from and she is noncanon.
Also I... don't like her design all that much. Or the Linkle name. Just have it be Link lol
As someone who thinks she is a hero, she is fine. As someone is the actual hero, I don't like it.
Female or Male, Link should not be too different as either gender. This is why I personally think the one I've made is better.
