I actually had fun thinking up the text for this one :3 and it's made me think what the other characters would look like, but i can imagine ven in game just swinging his whole head and neck back and forth attacking, man that would look awesome in game XD

You recall the wizard character from the Fantasia segment "The Sorcerer's Apprentice"? That's actually his name: Yensid (or Yen Sid, or Yen-Sid -- I've seen a few different spellings). He pops up in Kingdom Hearts as well, which is probably where more people know him from, but that name dates back to Walt's pure-animation brainchild.
To play Chernabog's advocate here*, a hippopotamus is considered a river horse. That's what the name means: from the Greek "hippopotamos" -- "hippos", meaning 'horse', and "potamos", meaning 'river'. It's hardly Yensid's fault that Aqua's inherently affiliated with water.
