Sal unlocked the door to her apartment and stepped inside. Closing the door behind her she slipped her worn down but comfortable sneakers off her feet. Today the daily routine was different. She hadn't met the tenant from across the hall. He usually says hi to her, but today he was nowhere to be seen. She wondered if he might be ill. As she walked around to the front of her sofa little did she know that her neighbor was closer than she thought.
