There really is nothing like going out to a bar to gather "reference."
The last few days have seen me working on a scene in the comic Across Thin Ice, which takes place in Frontier's one and only bar, the Dogyard. (I have been sure to work while in various stages of intoxication to make sure I get the right atmosphere for the scene. Thorough research was called for.)

Finally, a comic that does background characters justice, this looks very promising indeed, especially in capturing the atmosphere.

i'm so glad you're doing this project. it will be the best anthro comic since Blacksad. i was afraid that you will spoil this with some dirty canine porn, and it's good to hear (from the site) you're not planning anything like that.
i wish you both a lot of patience for the work, it must be hard to draw so detailed backgrounds (this one is great, but the page with train really knocked me out)
