I never was a fan of Teenage Mutant Teenage Turtles, I certainly found the concept surprising but quite interesting, I absolutely loved Shredder's design, but I found the whole show was too much oriented towards a younger audience (talking about the animated serie, never saw the original comics which atmosphere I know was a lot more darker and adult).
Then, twenty years later, just a couple monthes ago in fact, I discovered Alopex, drawn by Sophie Campbell, and immediatly fell in love with the character. Even the turtles are awesomely cute under her style!
So here is my very first take on Alopex and... it's quite a failure, I know. I wanted her to look cute and sexy, but that did not happen. Hopefully, I trained since then and will be able to upload much better pics of her soon, though I just don't understand Sophie Campbell's face proportions. That's a shame since it is what gives her Alopex everything I love.

As an Alopex aficionado, I look forward to your future pictures of her. As far as Campbell's proportions, I think the main thing about Alopex body-wise is the thick thighs and overall dog-like legs (like even more than your typical anthro) which is what makes the thighs look larger than you'd expect.
Oh, I was not talking about this (I LOVE those fluffy thighs and tail), thank you for making me precise things in the description - it is the face proportions I was talking about. The eyes for example, they are at the same time big and small, widely spaced but extremely centered inside the whole face, the face is round but with edges, the muzzle is short but long... Aaaaaargh, I can't process that!!!! Campbell is on another artist realm plane...
Ah yeah, the way she draws the face is definitely unique from the other artists that draw her. I think maybe the trick is that whenever her face is drawn from a side or angled perspective, it's always at an angle where the nose can at least extend to the outer edge of the face.

There's some examples of what I think is the latest she's drawn of her (though the next issue is being drawn by Sophie so she'll probably appear there). I have noticed that she seems to be continually making the muzzle look shorter. I actually prefer how she drew her back in her villain micro myself, though both are still good.

Yes, Alopex has been created in 2011, so relatively recently compared to the whole TMNT thing, and at her beginning she certainly wasn't the lovely creature she became under the pen of Sophie Campbell in 2013.
You will immediatly understand that when you will seek images of her
Thank you for liking it my friend (not sure you will like it that much after searching pics about her on Google though, ha ha!!)

I think part of what's wrong is the head and eyes are leveled but the muzzle is tilted upward, and the whole face looks like it's drawn too small for the head. Well, just my observation :")
I don't know much about current and recent events in TMNT comics either, but I remember seeing a few Alopex pictures uploaded here some years back and thinking "well that's a nice enough character," but obviously she didn't make as much of an impression on me as she did you. I do kind of like her big fluffy thighs though :U
And SilDre's gallery has a few good pictures of her, if you haven't found them already!

I think I see what you mean, I don't really know how to correct this (I mean, correct again - hopefully you did not see the first version I uploaded, that has been replaced by that slightly corrected one a an hour later) but this should arrange things, yes. Ah well, I always struggled to draw anthro faces at this angle and it seems I won't be OK tomorrow yet, although I progressed a bit.
As for the face drawn too small for the head, this is EXACTLY what Sophie Campbell does. But she is a real professional, and it works for her (not only that, but this is JUST what I love in her own Alopex version - look at the comments I made
Cloudrunner above) when it does not for me. But wait, I have a few more pics of Alopex I did after this very first attempt, and you will see all the improvements - or so I hope!!!
This is this official artist I advise you to search Alopex pics from. Then I think she'll make a stronger impression on you
I was only able to find one Alopex pic in
SilDre's gallery, but it is quite nice indeed ^.^

yeah, sometimes it takes a couple tries to get it right when taking on somebody else's character, especially when they have a particular art style that doesn't mesh with your own. I guess that's part of the fun though, adapting to it and making it work :')
Following that imgur link, I see she really does have quite a small & short snout, doesn't she!

Thank you! I have three more pics with her to be uploaded, they will be uploaded little by little within two monthes.
Apart from the parts containing Alopex, I am still very unaware ofthe rest of the TMNT story, I never saw Jenneka. If she is just one of the turtles with boobs and eyelashes, it does not interest me much I must say, at least for the moment.

Jennika has no boobs, she's brand new to the IDW comics. She was Casey's girlfriend turned into a turtle. I sketched a couple pics of Jennika last year. She looks like the other turtles, just a slightly slender frame and 3 toes on her feet instead of two like the guys.
You're thinking of Venus from the awful tv series fabmns hated.

you are talking about one of the animated TMNT shows and im guessing you mean the silly 80s one, correct?
have you checked the other shows? they all have their different tastes.
speaking of shredder, i must say the videogames got some really good shredders
examples :
music of the GBA final shredder
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rCEnYwQjrS8
a final boss battle using the IDW shredder, the same comic alopex is from (sadly, no alopex in the game)

Correct - I know I've also seen one or two of the new movies, it was entertaining but I just can't remember anything of it (apart the fact the humor was... kinda "redneck", not my thing), so guess they were forgettable too.
The music is interesting in its mix of genres
But videogames aren't my thing either.
