It's that time of year again, a time of reflection, of optimistic plans for the future and so much more. 2019 had been a wild year. I was sick most of it and didn't even think I'd have enough work to put in for every month of this art summary but, somehow I managed. Sure most are sketches but, y'know sometimes sketching is all you have the energy for, it's still worth being proud of. You did something instead of nothing, that's a triumph. I'm very happy with what I learned and what I've explored. My ref sheets have finally hit a level where they are starting to accomplish the goals I had set out for from the beginning.
I've learned a lot of cool inking techniques and how to really use values in ink artwork. My drawing skills FINALLY got to a level where I can draw something out of my own head, how I picture it. Which is HUGE!
I improved on a lot and I hope to keep doing so going forward. In 2020 I intend to continue working on anatomy, expression, dynamic posing, and inking techniques. I want to do more painting, work on backgrounds and perspective.
These are big goals along with my continued resolution of getting at least one thing done a month but, I feel confident my next summary will show some good growth.
