On December 29th, 2014, ironically the day before my birthday on December 30th, I created my favorite character, Brains the bear/blender hybrid! I had a bizarre dream that inspired the design, so here's a flat color WIP of him indulging in some red wine and a fine, Cuban cigar! I love this British, school teaching, intellectual, biological freakshow of a character! Part appliance, part bear, all trouble! Bear-ly Normal will be a comic I'll be working on sometime soon and when I created Brains, I purposely threw everything I knew about character design out the window along with my usual style and certain features, to make him as unique as possible and to stand out. I'm so happy with this one! Here, Brains is enjoying some fine wine and a cigar! Such a classy, English gentleman! For the background, I actually used the texture map I made for the 3D model of Brains and just tiled it. What do you think?
