The very last thing you see of me before entering 2020 is the second to last part of my Polar Freeze story. (Getting close to it now!)
After getting almost fatally shoot by the Joker and Harley, Polar Freeze finds himself in the most unlikely situation yet.

Polar Freeze comes from the "Batman VS Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles" animated film and comic crossover.
Ever since getting that weird mutagen into his system things had only gone downhill for Mr. Freeze.
First he lost his whole humanity, and found himself now trapped within this Polar Bear body. (That while very strong and able to handle heat better then his old body, also made him look like a bit of a monster.)
Then during his first battle against the Batman (as well as some Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles) the Dark Knight ended up also getting mutated into a half-animal creature, that almost killed the newly created Polar Freeze!
After having barley managed to survive that the big Bear had to try and "lay low" by making himself trapped inside of a Polar Bear pit at the Gotham Zoo.
Once having breaking himself out and left with no other options Polar Freeze decided to temporarily team-up with the Penguin, becoming nothing more then a "Enlarged Goon" to the pompous gangster.
And just when it had seemed like nothing else bad could possibly happen to him Freeze found himself being hunted both by Batman, and the Joker! (The latter was the very same that had been behind his transformation to begin with.)
During the whole ordeal a shot was fired, and Polar Freeze could feel a great pain jolt through his body as the bullet went clean through him!
Looking down he could see how his otherwise all white fur now had some pretty large spots being all red, and they only kept getting bigger as the blood was pouring out of him!
Leaving him badly injured and on the verge of bleeding to death, it all started to get pretty dark for the anthro Polar Bear villain, as the last thing he recalls is the Batman taking support onto him and leading him towards the Batmobile...
After that just darkness as Polar Freeze could feel the same eternal sleep that was holding his beloved Nora alive, had now come to take him away...
One could just imagine the look of surprise when Polar Freeze found himself waking up again, still being fully alive!
Not only that but when looking down at his injury he could see how the areas affected by the bullet was all patched up, and then when seeing around in where he was he almost couldn't believe it.
He had been taken to the Batcave!
But why had he been taken here? Who could have possibly wanted to save someone like him?
"Could it be?..." Polar Freeze asked himself as he sat up, before then noticing that he had been watched by someone not to far away.
Batman himself!
"You did this to me?" Polar Freeze asked rather perplexed as he pointed to his bandaged areas, to which the masked hero simply replied "Yes."
"But why would you do that? Why would you care to save the life of someone who has been trying to harm you for so long?" Victor asked confused as Batman told him that, "It's all part in what I do. I would never resort into taking the life of anyone else, no matter how many times they try to kill me."
That's when Freeze noticed that he was still armed with his freeze ray on his back, as he quickly pulled it out and pointed it straight towards his nemesis!
"So what if I decide to kill you now?" Freeze asked as he hugged that trigger, only to see Batman saying to him "That is fully up to you, if you feel you really want this?", without looking like he was going to try do anything unless Freeze forces him to.
It all still felt so weird and bizarre that Batman had not only saved his life, but also taken him into his secret hiding place, and was now even giving him the perfect opportunity to end him once and for all!
And despite having the perfect aim and just needing one pull with his paw like finger to seal the deal, Freeze felt like he couldn't do it!
It was not like he was having a sudden cramp in his finger or the gun malfunctioning, but more just that...he didn't want to.
He had been in this very moment several times before and shot without hesitating, so why was that such an issue now?
Ever since becoming this animal version of himself he had either been used or chased by everyone's he met, and Batman was the only one who hasn't tried to hurt him. (In fact, he owed the Batman now for having saved his life!)
Hating himself a bit Freeze ended up lowering the gun from aiming at that Bat, as he still tried to make it sound like he didn't do it fully by choice by saying "The thing is still so unreliable, that it probably wouldn't have worked if I did try shoot."
"Then how about I help see if we can make this thing work properly again?" Batman asked, making Freeze almost fall off from the operating table he was sitting on!
"Am I still under some sort of medical drug, or is this actually happening to me?" Freeze was asking himself as he and the Batman was now sitting side by side, and trying to make his deadly weapon fully functional!
Sitting right next to the legendary hero it was really clear now just how towering even to a tall man like him Freeze was, as he could easily kill him now with just his claws or fangs. (And once more, found himself not being able to actually go through with those thoughts.)
Noticing the big Bear looking noticeably grumpy Batman asked him what the issue was, as Freeze told him that he just wanted things "explained" to him.
"Why is it that you are acting so helpful to me? I get the part of you not wanting to let anyone die by your hands, but why would you actually want to help fix my weapon?!" Freeze asked as Batman lowered his head a bit and said, "Cause I feel like I owe you that."
"Excuse me?" Freeze asked unsure as Batman clear himself a bit by saying, "When I was turned into that Bat-creature by the Joker I had no idea of what I was doing, but I got told later that while under the influences I ended up attacking you, and that your remains was never found."
"Yeah, you did prove to be quite a dangerous foe for me to face." Freeze said as he recalled that close call he and the Bat had been facing, as Batman continued on.
"When Robin and Batgirl later told the whole thing to me I couldn't help but feel guilty about the whole thing, so when I heard the rumours about a talking Polar Bear roaming around it sort of filled me with some hope that I hadn't killed you." Batman explained, making Freeze even more amazed over just how pure and good-hearted someone could be.
"Which is why you didn't hesitate when I was threatening to shoot you earlier?" Freeze asked as Batman confirmed his thoughts by saying, "I was hoping that would make us feel fair, somehow."
This made Freeze laugh a bit, replying to the Batman that he had "One funny way of trying to make things fair." as the two found it surprisingly easy to work together on Freeze's gun.
Since both of them had a great knowledge in engineering it became an almost changing of info, as both Batman and Freeze found that they seemed to be having a lot more in common then they first would have believed.
That's when Freeze decided to take the Bat fully by surprise when he told the hero, "If you really want to make us even, I do have something I would want to wish you to do for me." to which Batman said back, "What would that be?"
"I want you to take off your mask, and let me see who you really are!"
This really caught Batman by surprise, since his secret identity was one of those things he never really could tell even the ones he trusted the most!
And now he had the huge Polar Bear Freeze sitting next to him demanding to know, who he still felt pretty in debt by due to when he almost killed him.
After some deep thinking Batman finally said "Okay...", before then slowly removing his helmet and revealing that he really was...
"Bruce Wayne?!" Freeze said in great surprise, before then thinking about it for a bit and then saying "But it would explain how you can afford all of this."
"It does." Bruce said as it felt pretty awkward of him to now sit here as his more normal self, while still talking to a anthropomorphic Polar Bear.
"That also means you should relate a whole lot to what I have been going through, and why I do some of the things I do." Freeze then said, before clarifying that he was referring to Bruce's murdered parents.
Bruce couldn't do anything but agree as he said "There is plenty of things one would do for the one they love." as then reminiscence a bit over what could have been different.
"I was just a kid back then, but had I been what I am now I'm not so sure if I could still act by that code." Bruce said as Freeze looked at him and said "The fact that my Nora still is alive and can still be saved only adds fuel to what I do, which I guess is almost an even worse pain to carry then yours."
Seeing how the big Bear started to get pretty sad the more he was talking about it Bruce suggested "How about we focus on fixing your gun right now?", to help take it off the big guy's mind for a little bit.
Things then got pretty silent for some time, before Bruce said to Freeze "I just want to let you know that despite all our previous run downs I too wish for your wife to become cured again, and if it's possible in some way for me to help you then please let me know.", who in return said to him "I think I might have just found the way."
"Really? What is it?" Bruce asked curiously as Freeze started to explain.
"One of the reasons to why I agreed on doing this little "experiment" for the Joker in the first place was cause of the powers they said a mutation like this could give your body, and any sort of issues that could be magically fixed. Once I had my whole body turn to fur I could confirm that my own sickness of handling normal temperatures was all but cured, and I knew that this new DNA of mine could very well hold the key into curing Nora as well! The only issue is that I need for first separate the parts that causes the mutation, as to not risk turning her too into a furry freak like me."
"I have been creating my fair share of antidotes in my days, so maybe I could help make that cure for your wife?" Bruce suggested, making Freeze once more having to almost pinch his own thick Bear arms in order to make sure he actually head that!
"After all the times I have been causing troubles to you, you still want to help me out?!" The Polar Bear asked as Bruce put a hand onto his big fuzzy chest and said, "I'm all about helping everyone."
Freeze was starting to almost becoming a villain in the first place now, as here he had Batman himself actually offering him what could become the long awaited cure to his wife.
"How about I let you focusing on finishing your gun, while I take a small blood sample from you and start working on that cure?" Bruce asked as Freeze approved of this "team-work" between the two, before Bruce then took his sample and went over the Batcomputer for working.
As the two was now working each on a project Freeze had to admit to his long time foe that if this actually means Nora would be saved, then he might end up quitting his whole thing and even leave Gotham.
"When you stay in this city for long enough it stars to destroy you, taking away everything you hold dear, and eventually drives you mad." Freeze said before then adding that having now this Bear body of his ironically has limited his options for what he can do in his life once curing Nora, when what it would have been with the decease.
"So where are you planning to go then once you both leave Gotham?" Bruce asked as Freeze said he didn't have that planned yet, but said that "Given my looks I would look very out of place if I didn't pick a very cold place." before then laughing a bit over how coldness seemed to be something that would always become a part of him one way or the other.
After that both of them stopped talking in order to better focus on their jobs, and soon enough they each had some positive results to show off.
"I would say this thing is back at being as good as ever now." A very proud sounding Freeze said as he strapped the gun onto his back once more, while Bruce had his computer system create a test tube filled with what would hopefully be the cure for Nora.
"This thing can't really be tested until we are there, but I hope that this will help save your wife." Bruce said as he took and placed the test tube into one of the many pockets of the belt on his suit.
That's when the two got alarmed by a urgent rapport from the news, and looking onto the screen it did made Freeze start to shiver from fear!
The news cast showed live footage of the Joker's goons vandalising and roaming around in what seemed like a random part of Gotham's slums, but to the Polar Bear that place looked all to familiar.
"That's where I am hiding Nora! They must be looking for my secret lab!" He shouted in panic, as Bruce replied "Could be way to try and get our attention, to lure us out in the open."
"Well in that case they will get what they want, cause I have my gun fixed now and I will gladly use it on anyone trying to harm my Nora!" Freeze said as he was on his way to try and get out of the Batcave when Bruce told him to hold up.
"Unless you are planning to join me then I advice you to stay away as far as possible, Bats!" Freeze said, to which Bruce said "I am in fact planning to come with you! Since this is the Joker's plan it will give me the chance to put both him and Harley back into Arkham once more." while putting his mask back onto his head.
"In that case then we can't wait another moment. Let's head off to save Nora!" Freeze commanded before then both he and Batman took and got into the Batmobile, and then came blasting out from the Batcave!

THIS IS RATHER HEARTWARMING;
He Already knew who Robin & Batgirl are due to him being incognito at the zoo and listening in on their conversations; now He Knows Batman is a Billionaire, and not just ANY Billionaire; the Rich Kid whose parents were murdered by Joe Chill;
I Hope Viktor & Nora get their happy ending as Polar Bears after Viktor & Bruce save her from Harley Yeen & Cobra Joker Naga; maybe move to the arctic or somewhere cold!!
