A small Christmas gift for a good friend of mine 
monterrang, and this is about his favourite Pony couple Maud and Mudbriar, as they celebrate their first "Hearts-Warming Ewe" together.
Expect things to be purposly bland and boring, cause it is those two. XP
(But trust me that the love is real. )

Maud and Mudbriar and MLP belongs to Hasbro and Lauren Faust.
As Heart's-Warming Ewe was once again coming to the Pony Kingdom of Equestria, there was those who was sending this special day with either their family, friends, or their special-somepony.
In the case of Maud Pie it was the latter, as she was spending this year together with her newfound love Mudbriar, and they were staying together in what was Maud's new home in the form of a gem filled cave.
Not that Maud wasn't happy with how she had been spending the previous years with her family at a Rock Farm, but back there it was only the ground that had any rocks, while this new home had rocks and gem on all the walls and roof!
Plus, besides her sister Pinkie there wasn't anyone else in Maud's family that really cared that much for the holiday, so she would gladly spend this one with the one she loves ever so dearly.
Arriving to her cave after a day filled of work Maud found Mudbriar just standing there, showing no sign of reaction at all.
Walking over to him Mudbriar asked Maud in an almost monotone voice, "How was your day today?", to which Maud responded with a slightly more genuine tired voice "It was good. Just a bunch of rocks to break down."
"I can see you have worked yourself down quite a bit. How about some mineral water that I got from the cave?" Mudbriar asked as he walked over and bite into a tray holding a single glass of water, before then balancing it perfectly as he walked it over to her.
Maud didn't hesitate one bit as she got the entire opening of the glass into her mouth, before then lifting her head up and swallowing all the water, and then finally lowering it again to place it back onto the tray before releasing it.
"Thanks dear. That tasted really good." Maud said in what almost sounded like the same voice from before, as Mudbriar said "Thanks. I have been spending several hours watching water drip down from these ceiling stalactite, making sure that not a single drip ended up outside of it."
"You did that just for me? Mud, that is the most wonderful gift anyone has ever given to me." Maud said sounding like she was really touched by this, even if her expression on her face still looked the same.
"Oh. That's not my gift for you." Mudbriar said, before then asking her to "Please, stand there for a few moments." as he then left to walk into another room.
Maud didn't move and inch as she just stood there like a statue amongst all the other rocks, before then finally hearing Mudbriar's voice from the other side saying "Okay. Be ready, cause here I come."
And right on queue Mudbriar stepped inside, being dressed in a costume that made him look like a big boulder. (Except for his head and legs sticking out from some holes, making him almost look more like a turtle.)
For someone who most often doesn't show any kind of emotions Maud did show what was a lot for her, since she first looked at Mudbriar with pretty huge eyes, before then also leaving her mouth hanging slightly open by the sight of him in that costume.
"I take it that you like what I have become?" Mudbriar asked Maud, who in return just could say "Mud. Is that...really you?"
"Yes, it is still me. This is just a costume I'm wearing. I am not really a boulder, but I thought that ever since that Cockatrice incident you have been missing how I looked like when I got turned into stone, so I figured that maybe this would help without being as dangerous?" Mudbriar explained, as Maud was seen having a small tear coming down her eyes. (Even if her face remained as stone cold like it always did.)
"Mud. That has to be...the greatest gift I could ever wish for." Maud said as the two of them walked up and leaned against each other for a while.
"Just be careful of one thing." Maud then told Mudbriar, who in return asked confused "What thing?"
"You better make sure you don't make boulder to jealous on you." Maud said and pointed towards her small pet rock, that was currently sitting in a corner.
While it was obviously a joke on Maud's part it didn't seem to be that clear to Mudbriar, as he said back "Oh, okay. I will make sure of that." (But maybe it was just him being sarcastic as a joke back, which was pretty hard to tell.)
That's when Mudbriar walked over to Maud's pet rock, and placed down a small stick next to it.
"There. Now Boulder has Twiggy to keep company." Mudbriar said as Maud embraced his big boulder costume once more and said, "You really do think of everything."
"That's because I love you, and I want to make sure you will have the perfect evening." Mudbriar said to Maud, as the two of them noticed how Mudbriar had been placing Twiggy to balance upright next to Boulder, before then seeing how it ended up falling over on top of the Pet Rock!
Both blushed a bit at first over seeing what their pets was up to, but then the two Ponies figure that maybe they too should try doing the same thing?
"My costume might look hard, but I made sure it is soft for you to lay on top of." Mudbriar told Maud, who responded to him "Actually, I can't sleep on hard things also, but thanks for thinking about that." before then giving her boyfriend a wink over having used his favourite word like that.
Mudbriar showed for the first time what looked like a smile, as he and Maud started to make their way towards the bedroom, which would end with Maud having to sleep on top of him due to his costume going to take up most of the space anyway.
And while most Ponies wouldn't understand any of them, the important part was that THEY knew each other very well, and that they had each other to spend such a wonderful night like this together.
