12/21/19: The Rombeiros-10/15-The GCLF Trophy they won!
And so here we are, proof that the Rombeiros have won US$50,000 on The Great Christmas Light Fight! And again, it is Season 7 (S7), not Season 9 (S9) on my lightbox. *I headfist.* In seeing the trophy in the dining room that has a mobile of Santa & his reindeer going around the world, it is made of plastic-I can actually feel that bulb through my paw glove. In the center, there are 7 lights that do light up, and if you have seen the show, it was judge Taniya Nayak who saw this house and picked it to be the winner, and handed the lit-up trophy to them. From that show, I can tell that it can run on batteries, but after looking at it close, it can be powered with a electrical cord-cool, huh? You will also see a pot right by the trophy- it has candy canes-you are free to get one or more during your visit!
Hopefully, that trophy does last a long time in being lit, and that they will save this trophy forever-they deserve it, and really, the visit to their house was worthwhile! For Edmundo Rombeiro, I do hope that the money can help him in being on his feet again-I wish them well, and I hope that the prize money they have won can go to charity and to help power the house so that they can keep doing this year after year-I consider it a landmark for the city of Novato when it's holiday time!
