So Steven Universe Future has premiered! It was a lot of fun, I enjoyed the first few episodes a lot. :3
But as is often the case, a new gem name-drop conflicts with one of mine. So I gave them an adjustment, along with one I'd ignored for a while now.
Bixbite is now Red Beryl. It's basically the same gem anyway, but Steven Universe plays a bit looser with the rules like that. Plus it keeps her as a Beryl, so she's in the same group as Aquamarine, which was my intent when I first designed her.
Violet Spinel is now Violet Zircon. The canon Spinel's wildly different design and function made mine seem out of place. Plus given that Zircons are lawyer-type gems, it's easy to fit that with Violet's history as an office clerk gem in his past on Homeworld.

No kidding. And about SU Future... I just got through with "Rose Buds", and let me tell you: it was like eating a four-course meal of "pure awkward" in a can, with a dash of funny. Yeah, even Greg pretty much just "Nope'd" and hauled ass; somehow I don't think he was ready to deal with three Roses.
