yeah in my world blaze's tribe soulvore when powering magic - its not the only method of recharging but its the fastest. Blaze's magical abilities are limited and are only passive effects, so one soul lasts him a long time. his body can carry 3 extra souls which make him progressively more glowey~
In terms of this character, I'd say it's taken/absorbed into him and otherwise stops existing in the form it was before taken; though also regenerates in the "victim", since he doesn't take the whole thing.
