Markus was offered when Vajra asked for an Ice type to take care of, and despite currently being pure Water-type and not an Ice-type just yet, he was taken in anyway. Maybe it was how Vajra loves taking care of the underdog...Markus is a coward, but still loves his friends and his Trainer unwavering. He loves doughnuts, but Vajra refuses to normally let him have any, thinking they'd make his stomach hurt. That doesn't stop Markus, though..."

Markus is named after Marcus Kincaid from Borderlands, but with a "K" instead of a "C".
