"Oh dear, I didn't think my presence would have THAT dramatic an effect on your planet, even in my coils at this size." Jory watched idly, the clouds on the planet continuing to crystallize into a solid mass of ice from the pole down to her tail. A bit of magic kept them in the air and not crashing down on anything, but it was still getting pretty chilly for the inhabitants. "Looks like winter is going to start a bit early for some of you; I'm afraid I can't leave until I can finish weaving the spell to keep you from drifting too close to our system. Don't worry, it won't cause any lasting damage."

I've been updating some of my older characters that weren't entirely one-shots and trying to turn them into something kind of Interesting. Jory here happens to be one of them, and she's developed into my first attempt at making an original species.
She's now something I've labeled as a 'Sserconian', a highly magical species of icy serpents. I have some ideas for them that I'll probably try to get written down at a future time; but, for now, enjoy this image.
