My first walk after surgery was a few steps across the room to the shower. That was rough. Then the journey home... well, I got out of the cab and managed to climb the stairs but that was all my spoons. I was a bit loopy on pain meds and, noticing that the cherry blossoms on the tree outside my apartment had wilted while I was in the hospital, I vaguely remember saying something about stealing their essence with kitsune powers.

Mostly though I just remember feeling damned proud that I had gone through with the surgery.

Oh wow this is so good ;_; so sweet and wholesome, even if the situation was kinda scary!
