This is just a quick sketch of Thranduil from The Hobbit, as the species of elk he rides in the movies.
I believe it is megaloceros giganteus.
I got the idea from the fact that antlers from one of these beasts make up the back of his throne. So when you look at him seated on it, you see them coming out around him.
