History: Born in the House of Vegard, a renowned league of demon hunters in the Sinnoh region, Daphne was told from the moment she was born what role she was to play. Despite the looming threat of Darkrai in the region, the House of Vegard is nothing more than a sham, a massive operation of con artists working to exploit those afraid of the supernatural. Though skilled they are, many of their supposed exploits are nothing more than tall tales. Daphne learned this at a tender young age, and became disillusioned with the idea of heroes and demons. Despite having no intentions of picking up the family legacy, she was forced to undergo the training, and develop the necessary bravado for fear of being exiled from the family forever, to the island Darkrai resided.
One day, a young Rockruff sought to expose the House of Vegard for their lies, only for them to kidnap him and his mothers, and send them off to New Moon Island, to live under Darkrai's curse forever... The boy managed to escape, and to prove her loyalty to the clan, Daphne was forced to pursue, and eventually expected to kill, the boy. She used this as an excuse to travel the world aimlessly until she happened upon a young horse girl and her Umbreon, who had learned about her... And offered her a chance to not only convincingly carry out her duty, but find new, greater purpose for her skills! She reluctantly agreed to join Val's party, and moved to Alola shortly afterwards. Who knows what's in store for her here...
