Ascended Aspirations - A Punk Rock Transformation (Istrala)
A trio of friends in the modern world find a group of enyos and are transformed into Istrala. And even though they're now demons whose power could determine the fate of the world, it's no excuse to give up on their OTHER dream, to become punk rock superstars!
Now they tour the world, using their demonic powers by night; and performing music... err... ALSO by night!
Tina, the lead singer. In spite of changing from a high soprano to a middle-ranged alto and gaining a slightly otherworldly wispy tint to her voice, can rock the stage harder and blast out bars tighter than she'd ever dreamed!
Gerald, on guitar. Their producer and agent had to convince him to keep his eyes blue during a performance, since he kept scaring the front row. While playing guitar with four less fingers total was certainly a new experience, his increased concentration, stamina, and dexterity more than make up for it when he rips out a solo!
Muhani, on drums. Why yes, he DID dye his head frills red in order to create liberty spikes and a mohawk!

Okay, so where to start with this. Literally, I was in a parking lot, and I had the idea of an Istrala dressed as a punk rocker for some reason. At first, the idea gave me a case of the giggles. But then... then it started sticking in my mind. And it wouldn't go away. Before I knew it, I found myself sketching it. Then drawing it. Then adding band members. And a stage. And shading. And lighting. And... you get the idea.
I admit, I'm EXTREMELY proud of this one. If other people seem to enjoy them, maybe I might give them a short story/sequel at some point. <3
Looking up punk fashions and getting more and more ideas of how to apply them to an Istrala trio was honestly one of the most awesome parts of the experience. There's something about the "out there" style that I absolutely love. And it definitely fits the true Istrala quite nicely.
Ultimately, I've taken some advice to heart and decided that once in awhile it's nice to just do something unscheduled and fun that I'd like to see. I mean, hell, it's one of the beautiful things about artwork!
(...What, you think they'd be into death metal or something, just because they're demons now? Come on man, get with the times. Besides, they'd need to hire a parrot in order to do death metal. And if you get that reference, I love you.)

though rohan would never live to see the world come to accept his kind fully as even istrala are not imune to the ravages of time fully there would come a day when thru his actions and those like him sentiments towords demons would shift and the stigma would fade away, there were good humans and bad humans goood demons and bad demons
it didn't hurt that as it turns out, istrala could make some of the most head bangingly epic Metal music in existance...

This actualy reminds me a bit of that show stone protectors from the 80s/90s
basicly a group of wana be rockers get infused with magical power from 5 power stones and turn into troll (like as in the colorfully haired dolls not the evil ones) looking things, they gain a number of powers not the least of which is there sudenly good at makeing rock and roll.
wonder if it was the same for these guys, they had the dream before the enyo but no tallent, now as demonst there natural instincts just seemto lead them to all the right notes.
