You know my fantasy world where the good guys worship a dragon whose muscles can be seen through his crystalline scales? These are eight heroic organizations that serve him, using different tactics in the ongoing war against the forces of evil.
GREEN AXES are jack of all trades adventurers who don't consider a character complete until he demonstrates at least base-line competence in melee combat, an ability to heal lost HP, an ability to damage enemies with fire, and an ability to disarm traps/pick locks in some way. This is the group Nathan and Natalie are part of.
BROKEN HEARTS (possible also called BROKEN HEARTHS) only admit members who are widowed and/or orphaned, and take a vow of celibacy (chastity is implied as basic morality for everyone so stating that as well would generally be redundant). They exemplify "tough love" towards friend and foe alike.
STAR SOULS do not have much lore yet, but the one character I have established to be one of them is a bard prince from a fallen kingdom with no aspirations to reclaim his throne.
FEARFUL REAPERS believe in bringing death and judgement to enemies as swiftly as possible, and tend towards heavy "glass cannon" builds and "tough but fair" edgelord personalities with an emphasis on lawfulness and order.
CROSS HARES are merry explorers, rangers, magicians, hunters, and the like; it's a very lax group which will admit anyone who isn't evil (or is sufficiently secretive about it) and demonstrates sufficient outdoors survival skills.
FLEUR DE TROIS is a group for flashy bards and swashbucklers who put style ahead of substance with intentionally lax rules, one of their strongest traditions being to break up into small bands of "three senior members and a junior recruit" for their group dynamics.
FLAME OF ACCELSIOR has no lore yet, just a vague association with flames and speed. They probably care more about vehicular transport than the others if I were to guess.
RAT BASTARDS view themselves as the plague of rats God placed on the Philistines, applying guerrilla tactics and dirty fighting towards enemies more used to heroes who fight fair. Maintaining a rough, rugged look to their adventuring groups and often taking on a single Green Axe or Broken Heart as an "advisor" for contrast when building dungeon parties.
