I had originally done a full background and stuff for this but it really did not turn out the way I wanted so I scrapped it. I was really happy with Dusk here and decided to do just a simple character shot instead. Enjoy =^.^=

Thank you! I always felt that if a character had real abilities of some kind it wouldn't really come with a free bonus light show. As for quoting FireFly, No. That was a coincidence. River Tam was not an inspiration for this but now that you mention it I think she may have had a similar remark at some point. I mean, Jean Grey does to, as do most characters with high TP and TK abilities. XD
Point, I just remember something similar being specifically quoted from Firefly, likely because of the delivery in the scene. It was general enough that I wasn't sure if it was a reference or not.
As to the "bonus light show", it's more that there's no posturing. No arms stretched out with palms up and fingers spread, or some broad T-pose look, or other showing off. Just the fact that he's levitating there as though it were nothing to him shows he has power, is comfortable with said power, and doesn't feel he needs to make any show of it. You try to take him, you should already have enough warning that it's a bad idea without Dusk need to puff out his chest.
