Just felt like putting a collection of my hamster's photos on here, since I hadn't yet aside from that one awhile ago in my scraps. :P Don't hafta read all of this if you don't wanna; this is more or less being uploaded because I love having some of my hamsters' photos stored on my account. That, and I just couldn't resist.
Most of these photos were taken earlier last month, or late in December of '09, in a similar situation to [http://www.furaffinity.net/view/2636089/]. Was taking out Hammy, as I call her, of her cage and put her on my bed while I was changing her food in the afternoon. Forgot about my bowl of Cheerios left on my bed, and when I turn around much to my surprise she had hopped right into my bowl, stuffing her pouches full with my cereal. Apparently, she has just as much a penchant for Cheerios as I do, so now every once in awhile if I'm eating some in my room, she'll sniff the air and come running right to the cage front, pawing at the bars until I slip over to her and hand her Cheerio-by-Cheerio as she slips 'em into her pouches. Though, she's not the only hamster who loves Cheerios as much as I do--we used to have a Russian dwarf hamster named Peewee who also loved 'em quite a bit, as feisty as she was.
Got Hammy back one morning last year on August 2nd, 2009 as a surprise early birthday present after waking up and being treated to the surprise. Almost called her "Kee-hee" after Michael Jackson's trademark "hee hee"s he used to be quite known for, since I like to have fun slipping some of those into random conversations. :b But I like the name "Hammy" better. The second to left photo on the very bottom was taken about a day or two after we got her last year, so that's why she appears so small in that photo. The rest were all taken on the day of the Great Cheerio Heist, with some of the bottom photos occurring after I placed her back in her cage as she started to unstuff her newly found Cheerio treats. Besides eating Cheerios, she also likes to run on her wheel and in her ball a lot around the house, much more than our other hamsters used to. One big difference between her and our other hamsters is that contrary to our others we used to have, who always slept in the dining room at night side by side in our sled in their respective cages since the wheels would keep us up at night, Hammie sleeps in my room all the time even at night, so it feels like having a little roommate to share my room with.
Hammy's awesome, and just really thankful to have her. She's a great friend an awesome family member.
