Commentary for September 27, 2019:

Strap yourselves in, dear readers, because this is the first season finale of Eon’s World Vol. 1 and it is going to be quite a ride!

I took a lot more time to write the script to this chapter than I ordinarily would because a) I was well ahead of schedule (it was the end of July when I finished Chapter 16, so I was almost two months ahead), so there was no rush and b) it’s the season finale, so I wanted to make sure I really nailed this script, because it wasn’t going to be an easy job. It is a remake of a story from Eon’s Comic (specifically the one that led up to page #50), but it isn’t a shot-for-shot re-creation and it will end very differently to the original. Of course, I’ll go into a more in-depth comparison when we get to the end, as usual.

Anyway, for now, I am really quite pleased with how I’ve been able to transform daytime sprite backgrounds into night-time ones. It’s something I felt the need for very early in Eon’s Comic, but it took a while for me to find a method that I really liked. I got there somewhere halfway through, and since then it’s just been tiny adjustments to the technique as needed. I’m glad to see the magic still works.
