About 1 year since Kura the zoroark elevated to her position as a Centari. A prestigious captain, let alone, working under the highly reputable Royal, Suseena. Rumor has it she holds the most scrutiny under her branch. Hearing that she would be hand selected by that mienshao made her nervous. Suseena was the martial arts teacher, striving for perfection under her Royal branch. She's the Hex's military might, turning to her when something of upmost importance must get done without failure. If something wasn't a success, either Suseena made excuses, or she took the loss out on fellow members. So being killed for slipping up was a stressful thought working under her. No arguing, a Royal's word was absolute to a Hex member. The best advice Kura was given to cope, "roll with the punches." She still remembers it like yesterday.
Collegue: "Congratulations Kura! Not often do zoroarks get the chance to achieve such high status!"
Kura: "Yeah, umm, thanks. It wasn't that hard really. The entry requirements were just in my favor. I'm not entirely enthusiastic about becoming Centari under Suseena."
Collegue: "Oh come on! She's not that bad... Suseena doesn't call her underlings minions. She calls them, 'students,' and 'disciples.'Oooh! Must help with morale."
Kura: "Surely. If it didn't mean she'd kill her own recruited members, along with other Hex agents."
Collegue: "Royal leader Suseena just wants to see her men and women performing their best, that's all. She is the highest performing out of the Royal branch. Other zors should take your place by example, encouraging more to pursue through the ranks."
Kind words coming from an optimist. Lets hope it stays that way. The ceremony was in preparation, soldiers lining up, groups socializing, Kura had a bit of a hard time figuring out what to do. Standing just outside the main building, the Hex Meeting Center standing at 4 floors high, and had a long hallway where they'd soon walk once it commences. She's simply standing there, unable to figure out how to keep herself busy. She brushes her hair back, making sure the style of a few loose combs hangs forward, resembling fire, then made sure the ring holding her hair tight was fastened. Having overly fluffy hair was a hindrance, so having the gold ring along with her bead kept it minimal. She also thought the gold ring was a cute touch. She kept it to herself, being a fan of fashion was seen as girly, and would hurt her outlook to those who expected a gritty, rugged captain. Fortunately she usually wore here medium-grade armor majority of the time, was nice to have on anyways. Medium grade was given to more valuable officials and soldiers, it emitted a sense of authority. It didn't help that she was the only zoroark of her rank to be present in an event normally atypical for her kind. Most chose to remain as guards, conjuring ther illusions to shroud facilities, bases, and encampments in secrecy. A rare skill, but not used beyond that, except for spying missions. Kura was anxious, so many staring eyes in her direction, surprised to see a zoroark beyond their utilization. No point in pulling up a disguise off duty, a difficult habit to break. Attention was drawn to the dark type, when another high rank houndoom and an Arcanine sneered into her direction. This houndoom was a centari named Blitz, been working under Suseena with his partner, France.
Blitz: "I can't believe Suseena just picked the last position for captain."
France: "Centaur? I mean, centari?"
Blitz: "They mean the same thing. It's a fancier title, but they all have the same roles... This is bad, there goes your last chance to join the ranks... Damn, all those years, now that ferret really screwed our chances. Unbelievable, unbelievable! That one chance we had, your chance, France, why couldn't Suseena leave it for you?"
France: "I agree there pal. Look at all these jobbers. Weak, obsessed with their fancy dandy tactics. Well I'll tell you what, I could bulldoze any of these punks in a fight! How about I do it now! Hah, if I could kill one of these 'Centauri' whatevers, the positions will open right back up! It's perfect!"
Blitz: "Shh! Yes, yes, great plan, you big dumb doofus, but there's no way Suseena will stand for friendly fire out in public. And don't shout it out, trying to get us in trouble?... Hear me out France."
The houndoom pulls the arcanine together at the ear, whispering to the giant mutt.
Blitz: "I know a way we maybe could get a position opened back up for you dude. One of these captains have already cemented their status, or some will be, after this event. We already know one of these simpletons is getting it. Say, one of us should keep a close eye on one of them... See that black and red poofy rark over there? I heard she's taking the last spot as captain."
France: "She doesn't look like much. Pff, I bet if I flicked her, she would snap."
Blitz: "You're close... I was thinking.... What if she accidentally had a slip up? Say, missing in action? She doesn't know anyone here, she has no reputation, if she disappeared, it'd be like any other day. 'Oh, whoops, looks like I misjudged her, welp, time to get a replacement.' That replacement will be you buddy."
France: "Nobody deserves that position more than me. It's not fair! I do most of the heavy work here! I'm the roughest toughest dude here!"
"I have a feeling those 2 imbeciles are scheming." The zoroark tried her best to not let it bother, even if she didn't entirely understand what they were talking about. However, Kura was able to pick up on the signs they didn't like her. Their disgusted body language, critical judgements, Blitz made it obvious he has gripes. The houndoom ended his conversation, pulling the arcanine with him. "Oh, perfect, here they come." Blitz bows with a crooked smile, introducing himself.
Blitz: "Ah, hello, madam, my name is Captain Blitz. Buly my side is the best on the fighting force, my arcanine, France. I assume you are next in line to be, captain?"
Kura: "Name's Kura. Centari, but yeah.... How'd you figure it out? Are you psychic, I've never heard of a psychic houndoom."
Blitz: "What a fine name, Kura, sounds like your parents picked yours with an obssesion towards royalty, granted you've even met your parents. What the heck happens in those Zoroark Breeding programs? Anyway, I have particularly discerning eye, lady. Just like Suseena, who is excellent at picking the top contenders for her royal force."
Kura: "We grow up in the training academy. No different to how you people train, exept more strict. We don't know our parents, supposedly so we don't get emotionally connected if something terrible happened, or distracted. Yeah, we are raised side by side our bretheren, despite rules that we work independently... Contender? We aren't voted into these positions. Aren't they earned?"
Blitz: "Oh. Half right... I just... Hmmm, I think she made a mistake, picking a zoroark of all creatures. Y'all look frail, missy, you wouldn't even survive a firefight girl. Perhaps you should have taken a job as a brood mother. Why don't you go back to working as a measly guard performing those neat illustrations?"
Kura briefly shut her eyes, trying to ignore the jabbing comment. "What a distasteful comment. If he was just another minion, I'd slap that grin off his face, hit him so hard he wouldn't have a mouth anymore... It's an terrible thing, those zoroarks aren't as fortunate. Disabled, unequipped for field work, or simply do not have the heart. The Hex frowns upon those who outlive their usability... Being a parent to their kin is just as important as being a soldier, scientist, and a spy. They aren't even able to know which is their true offspring... Just, abstain from thinking about it, Kura, I'll find some other way to get back at him. If I was feeling cruel, I could spread the rumor back around the zoro society, they'll surely deck him when nobody's looking. They'll cover it up and no one will know... I'm not a monster, so lets move onto something else." After an exhale, she gets the idea to use his boss' reputation against Blitz, smirking.
Kura: "They're illusions... And I do not believe Suseena made a mistake. I'm pretty sure just implying she messed up can cost you a leg if that Royal overhears this conversation. There are some zoroarks who want to avoid being couped up as side workers, and we aren't frail. Everything isn't limited to brute strength. Strentgh of the collective, we all have to pull our weight, yes, but we all contribute in other ways. Covert skills, ingenuity, cooperation, leadership, to name a few. So unless you have something positive to say, do me a favor and take a walk, mongrel."
The houndoom swallows nervously, fidgety regarding the aspect of Suseena finding out one of her own leaders had doubts against her judgments. "Hmph, what's she going to do, tattle on me? She's up and stiff now, but just you wait until she starts working for the boss." He scoffs, returning to his cocky tone.
Blitz: "Ehem, sure Suseena has made the right choice, it's... I hold concern for my teammates, that's all."
France: "Nobody talks trash to my bud! You better watch your mouth before you-"
Blitz: "It's fine, chill out France, she will be part of the family... If she slips, Suseena will not be pleased. You heard the rumors haven't you? Loser get the skewer. Maybe you'll be her next victim, so take your time. Enjoy life, never know when she will GET YOU! Heh, heheh."
While Blitz was amusing himself trying to bring down Kura's spirit, an onlooker takes his approach. A male meowstic wearing a strong dark-blue cloak, his hood hanging backwards. It was Clause, and he is not pleased. Holding his front cape with only one hand, he speed walks to the 3. It was easy to recognize Blitz was trying to intimidate or pick on newer members he saw as rivals. "Guy never learns. He's going to make people flee Suseena's branch if he keeps is stupid games of 'lets see who quits first.' Why does my Royal keep him around?" He pauses adjacent to the trio, neck up and stern.
Clause: "Ignore any jabs and paranoia Blitz's words may have on you and Suseena. I can promise that your new boss is most extraordinary. Now, I hope we can break the ice and get used to each other once the ceremony begins... So, hello zoroark, I'm Clause. What's your name?"
France: "Here comes the teacher's pet..."
Kura: "I'm Kura, I was hand selected by her to become Centari. It's an honor, really, I appreciate the opportunity. So your name is Clause? Just Clause? No title or designation?"
Clause: "I'm an independent field agent, but I prefer to be known as Clause. I never saw myself as a ground unit, or a leader. How about you, Kura? Tell me about yourself."
Kura: "Other than getting promoted to a leader of my own squad, I work in covert operations and directing. Yeah, stereotypical, a zoroark working as a spy and in secrect, but why haven't many like me taken advantage of that? So I stepped up, and see where it got me... What more is there to say that most of the Hex doesn't know? I'm from the breeding program, trained in the academy, and became a stealth expert."
Clause: "Come on, you have personal interests right? Long term goals?"
Kura: "Ehheh, well, I do have a hobby for traveling, maybe. It's not that I'm the sight seer type, picking up unique trinkets. There's nothing wrong with fashion. Just look at this armor, doesn't it look splendid. Does that count? What I'd consider a long term, staying alive of course."
Clause: "Mhmm, well, hope you have a nice ceremony. May your future be... good, I guess. I'm not that great with words, hahaha!"
It's sundown, and it's about to turn nighttime. The ceremony directors have opened the doors, coming towards the crowd. Three of the people composed of the directors, a smergale who was The Advisor to Suseena, aided by 2 random staff members. All were instructed to line up in 3 rows. Each row would be the groups that belonged to each Royal accordingly. The ones that would be grsnted Centari status were pull all the way to the front. "Again! What is with these people and putting me in the center of attention?!? Uggh!" Begrudgingly, she takes her spot at the front. It wasn't as akward once Clause would be leading the row... which would wear off once she remembered how short a Meowstic is, diverting attention back to her. She turns around to see how many would participate in Suseena's branch. Not that many. Her row is the shortest out of all of them.
Kura: "Strange. Hey Clause, our row is very short. Is that weird, or normal?"
Clause: "Royal leader Suseena usually has a more limited amount graduates and members. 'Quality over quantity' as she said. It's best that she kept it small, spreading too thin will hurt our efficiency. Plus you wouldn't want to be sitting up there forever, waiting for EVERY person to get their turn up the podium."
Kura: "Aha, that's right. Absolutely don't want to remain stuck in there, I hate long meetings to be honest. Suseena made the right choice, having more can mean less effective productivity. More doesn't necessarily mean better. I think I'm starting to like her already."
Clause: "You might. She made the right choice picking people like you... though, some people might give me doubts, ehem Blitz eheh..."
Kura: "Hmph. Let's get this over with so we can go home."
The Advisor instructs everyone to follow his lead and head into the building. Upon entry, she could feel the shift of atmosphere. The main lobby held an overall yellow-amber aesthetic. The floors were white sqeaky tilework, along with the hotel red rope stretched towards the each opposite side. Walking along the golden, sandy colored carpet, the rows make their way to a series of hallways and doors. Walking on the tile floor felt peculiar, almost rubbery. It's the first time she ever walked on such a surface that wasn't concrete, dirt, or wood. Strange but good. Pleasant change where she doesn't have to deal with bothersome dust sticking to her feet, or clacking her claws against the hard floor. She could wear shoes, but there aren't really any made to fit for zoroarks. "Fancy place they got here." The lights reflected off the tiles, shining bright white and yellow. They stop at a large dark-oak door labled "Center theater walkway."
Advisor: "Single file, just like before. Your names will be called, and you will enter the stage at the right. Madam Rose, our head organizer and Royal, will call out our names, beginning with the Centari promotions... Reading this list, Kura will he the first and only Centari. Huh, not often."
Kura: "Great, then it's a short event for me?"
Advisor: "Yep. Your Royal will direct you accordingly once the event is finished... Everyone this way, and everyone must stop on the designated dots on the floor."
A minute of breathing exercises, stretches, and getting psyched up, they make their way into the "main theater." Entering, the lights were a bit blinding, all shined down from the ceiling with abnormally high intensity to her experience. "Geez, how damn bright do they need to make these lights? The building was bright enough already!" Thankfully it wore off once her eyesight adjusted. Scanning her surroundings, she could see people gathered left and right. Estimated around 400 people watching, all Hex members ranging from simple workers, soldiers, agents, to long time veterans. Her attention was drawn to the crowd at the front to some she recognized. "More zoroarks than normal attending this ceremony. Last years were just me and a few others." One called out to her, a surprise. It was Kauri, one of the Brood Mothers she knew back at the nursery faculties. It seems she got permission to attend this one.
Kauri: "Best wishes to your future, Kura!"
Zoroark1: "Go for it! Be the first leader!"
Zoroark2: "Pave the way!"
Kura waved her hand back at the crew, bringing a warm smile to her face. That eased off more of the tension of having to be the focus when walking the stage. Everyone stopped in front of the stadium, the Advisor standing at the center adjusting the microphone. While waiting, the Advisor checks the wall clock, waiting for the Royals to make their arrival. The door at the back of the stage opens, the first Royal to make their way, Madam Rose, a delphox. She was the founder of the Zoroark Breeding Program. The crowd was getting quiet, and ready to speak. Madam Rose didn't look any older than her 30s, holding her warm motherly yet assertive personality. In reality, she was at least 100 years old, her true age was unknown to the public in the Hex. "What a particular sight, I only wish more from the Breeding Program also achieve such high status. More should aspire to become like her." On with the show...
Madam: "Welcome, welcome everyone to the annual Hex graduation ceremony! This event is special to us all remarkable members, that more raise their ambitions o the next level! Now, we have a small group of applicants who will either become the next generation of higher class workers, or become leaders under their Royal branch. Now, we will prepare for the other 2 Royals to the stand... Royal leader and Martial Arts Master, Suseena to the stand!"
About 10 seconds passed with no word or sound indicating of the mienshao's arrival. Everyone is waiting for her to pass through the doorway at any moment, still no answer. The advisor would step forward to the mic, asking for her. This was uncommon, but not that it never happens, Suseena once in a while doesn't show up on time... Only to show up and pull off some surprises. The Advisor was on edge, the smergale not wanting to be victims of any surprises or jokes, working close to her would to that to people. "Suseena" echoing through the theater. His call would be answered, as a sudden person bursts through the ceiling to the floor. Debris knocked cardboard everywhere, and the figure slams right next to the smergale to his shock, he dropped his clipboard and picks it up, flustered. The crowd chuckle to the amusement played on the Advior's part.
Advisor: "Gahggh!"
Suseena: "Hello everyone, did you miss me? I didn't feel like entering through the main door. Every year, we need to find a way to spice it up."
Advsior: "Yes madam, but was it really necessary to barge through the ceiling, you could get hurt! Or another member could!"
Suseena: "Mmmm, maybe. But!... It gets really boring if every year I just entered-"
Following the sentence, it would cut off once another Mienshao, directly resembling Suseena pushes both doors, entering the stage normally. Chin up, looking annoyed.
Suseena: "Like this... So stereotypical."
Advisor: "Wait, if you're Suseena, then, who's...."
The one tha barged through the ceiling would then reveal itself to the crowd. It was a zoroark, one of the pokemon who was in on her little joke. The dark type sprung at the smergale with a "boo!" shout, easily scaring him off his feet, erupting more laughter from onlookers. The female zoroark runs back to Suseena, being congratulated. Unlike the Royal, the prankster had a much softer voice, holding both hands towards her front lap, standing straight, head pointed down, and eyes up. The mienshao hands her a bag of some goodies before she goes.
Suseena: "Nice, you got my voice almost exactly! Great work, hahahah! You can go home now, and here you go."
Zoro prankster: "Yes, Suseena, that was most exciting, mistress! I loved the whole ruse!"
Suseena: "Hahaha, aaah, love it... Hello everyone, I am your one and true Royal, your mentor, and sensei, Suseena! We have this, lovely group of people graduating various ranks."
The mienshao leans over to the smergale's list, holding an enthusiastic smirk on her face the whole event. "Small list, just the way I like it. Untampered, and my one and only Centari for this year." Suseena folds her hands behind her back, waiting for her Advisor to call them fourth. Kura was scratching her chin, impressed with the fighting type leader already. Her name is requested by the Advisor and makes her way to the stand. Quiet claps come from the gathered dark type crew. Kura did the usual, jogging up the stairs, waving her hand, and trying her best to smile even though it's not normal of her. It felt forced, but she's at the podium now, ready to meet her boss face to face. The Mienshao clapped her hands once together, now both forward in a pray like stance.
Suseena: "Kura, it appears you will be the only promoted member becoming Centari today. That's a first in about 10 years, let alone, a zor. But... I like your abilities, and your field work. More should continue to improve their self sufficiency to your level."
Madam Rose: "Suseena has worked with zoroarks in the past, but never to the point of becoming a Centari."
Kura: "Eh hehe, thank you for the praises. But why me? I'm a tad bit curious."
Suseena: "Had been watching you grow and fulfill interests of the Hex, time and time again. A high success rate on your record. I've been look everywhere for people like you. Sure sure, we could just pick any other potential member with skills of stealth, spying, retrieving, and leadership, whatever, BUT!... You have all of those qualities synchronized. That moment when the incident when your team was pinned, and your Centari dead, you stepped up and corrected the situation. Outnumbered, and outmatched? You coordinated the remaining task force, used what remaining forces you, manipulated your illusions and double-teamed yourself, next thing they knew, they're being assaulted by illusions of their own men, foolishly attacking their own. The remaining Hex using it as cover to pick the enemy of during the chaos was genius! A high success rate on your portfolio... So, here's your badge."
Kura: "Thank you Master Suseena."
Suseena: "Just call me, Suseena. It's simpler, and most people in my branch refer to me by my first name. Also, since it's only 1 person attending this event to become Centari, I'll refer to you by name.... Kura, do you promise to uphold the interests of the Hex, do you plan to use your new title of Centari for the betterment of your colleagues, and to protect our future to the fullest extent for generations to come?"
Kura: "I will always stand by the values of the Hex, and perserve the future to the best interests of the Hex."
Suseena: "Well, then I'm gladly here to bestow the title of Centari, under the Royal branch of Suseena."
Her event was short, just the way she preferred. A couple claps from the crowd as she now was redirected off the stage to the back exit of the stadium. The normal promotions would then immediately take place after the captains take their leave. "The road ahead working with Suseena, I do not want to regret this. So far, she seems like an okay superior, a bit quirky, but nothing indicating her psycho-reputation. Maybe it's been an easy first run, and she's in an uplifting mood... Pray it lasts."
Fast forward back to current year, she is working very much the same as before. Covert spy work, occasionally directing a stealth team, and with the added perks of being able to pick ordinance to assist on her job. Her grounds of operations were now directed to another, Grey Mountain Peak as it was called. A rocky geography with spots of missing vegetation, and various leveled earth. The air was majority of the time cold, with the surrounding soil unfit for crops. This land would be considered hostile to settlers trying to prop up civilization. Suseena favored this location due to the fact it was far from any villages, settlements, and nosey outsiders. Kura had been sitting at the Reserves tent, awaiting her next deployment during the week day. The occasional breeze flowing through the tent would have given a normal person the shivers. While a couple pokemon who lacked fur complained about the climate, many fought it by drinking hot beverages or wore padded clothing. The zoroark had kept to herself, not wanting to strike up a conversation. In reality, she lacked the courage to speak with the rest of the community. Ironically, she'd go ahead and give orders when on duty. Perhaps she hated smalltalk and found nothing of value in meaningless chitchat. Holding onto her old habits stubbornly, they reinforced the stereotype around her colleagues that Zoroarks were hardcore introverts. She fiddles a glass cup in her hand, watching people come and go, thinking when her superior will show up to direct her to another mission. While trying to avoid drawing attention, she caught someone looking directly at her, from the corner of her vision. She turns down at the table and pretends they don't exist. The one who made contact with her didn't look anything like her superior. Short, wore a dark blue cloak, and had a specific white hair style. It was Clause, the Meowstic who now and again crossed paths with the spy operative. She rolled her eyes, inevitably, the cat began to strike up a conversation.
Clause: "Sup, Kura, how's your stay so far working for Sus?"
Kura: "Hhhhugh. Not too different from before. Get in, perform my duties, succeed, get out. Nothing more or less."
Clause: "You seem to have not changed in the past few years. How's that hobby for traveling and fashion if I may ask."
Kura: "You actually still remember from what I said all those years ago? I don't actually have that many hobbies to be honest with you. All I see is to do my job. Get in, pull out. If I am truly going to relax, it wouldn't be here."
Clause: "Anyways, I need to.give this to you, your uh, directional sheet, I forgot what it's called. Suseena doesn't have any assignments for you, she checked out today. See for yourself."
The Meowstic hands her the paper slip via telepathy. The captain promptly swipes it to see for herself. It has her Royal's signature and shows on the list that there will be no current assignments for that day. Must mean they can take the day off, not that common for a Royal of her caliber to have nothing to do.
Kura: "You're right. Well, I guess all this waiting was pointless. What should I do now? Maybe I can go help out other Royal that need work done."
Clause: "Haha, oh please. You know that's against policy. We can't work for other Royals, you remember why. If one of us dies while temporarily working for a different top leader, the original will start drama with the other Royal."
Kura: "I can sneak off, I can just use my illusions to appear as someone else."
Clause: "Ah haha, not a smart idea, hoho. How convenient, but don't go running off, I might rattle you out! Hah hah hah ha."
The dark type didn't even crack a smile, grin, or a hint that she saw it funny. By her expression, the Meowstic assumed she couldn't tell that he was joking. That, or she took it as a threat. The psychic chuckle would wane int a nervous crackle, then silent. He was feeling a bit on edge for potentially angering a dark type, he makes his way to leave.
Clause: "Just kidding, I'd never do that, have a nice day. Sorry if I'm bothering you."
Cue a couple hours later, its dusk, and Kura hasn't found any sort of way to occupy herself. Not doing anything was a strange and uncomfortable experience. Usually it's weekends when she isn't assigned to missions. The zoroark decides its time to find something to do, maybe practice her skills. Try honing her Flamethrower, make her Aerial Ace sharper, or find ways to make her Sludge Bomb more area-of-effect even. She begins her short journey away from home base, deciding to settle training in the woods off an area no one will bother her our anyone around. Kura sets her centari armor off to the side to give her body a break from the heavy bulk. An hour of her striking rocks, hitting debris, and attacking targets in the air to give herself the feeling that she is occupied. Not very fulfilling when they aren't moving like actual hostiles. Thinking this is a bit of a waste, she heads out to find real moving targets.
Kura: "Maybe there are some pests around here that could use some cleaning up. I'm thinking perhaps some bugs or birds, flying evasive targets are great warm ups. Though, fighting raticates and other such fast creatures fit the bill just as well."
Just a bit further, picking her armor back up and traveling to a more flat area off the mountains. Standing at the bottom of the valley, she's now free to hunt and train as intended. Kura managed to hit a couple rattatas, mukcrow, and even beedrill. As cold as it was, it was surprising to find any bug types out at this time of year at all. After another hour of training, she takes a break, heading back to check up on her Centari armor she left earlier. It was nightfall, quiet, nothing but the sound of wind blowing and rustling leaves. Being a bit paranoid, she checks her surroundings for any hidden stalkers. The dark type could feel the hairs on her back stand up. "Why am I so on edge? It's the day off, and it isn't like we are in any sort of danger. But we are in a perfect spot to get ambushed with no one around. Eeugh, I need to calm down."
The illusion fox began walking back to base. Putting her armor back on, she felt more secure. All that metal, she was too used to, relying on it to absorb blows. She turns the handles on the front of the piece to tighten it. As for safe measure, there was a layer of a gambeson like material underneath that acts as extra bulk, protection, and insulation. What was seemingly silent, she heard something dart through the foliage. Her hair began to stand up again, Kura caught something innthe corner of her eye. Zoroarks could see perfectly in the dark, it's just what she saw was too transparent and blurry, only manifesting for a second. Spending about 2 minutes trying to discern if she is being stalked. Giving up after a fruitless search, Kura sets her eyes back to base.
Kura: "My hyperactive imagination, I should probably lay off the drinking. Find an actual hobby, like Clause said..."
???: "It really must be your imagination. Zoroarks might even be fooling themsleves with their own illusions hmm?"
Right when she believed the zoroark was alone and dropped her guard, an unfamiliar voice breaks the silence. It was femenine, yet with slightly deep, snarky pitch. Turning her head, making one eye face the stranger. There stood a stranger in the dark shadows of a tree, arms behind her head, a lonnupy. A shadow lingered over her face as her gaze was focused towards the ground. She sported 2 red armbands, with symbols she could not recognize. At first she mistaken the rabbit pokemon for a Hex soldier. She knew better than to assume it was a friendly, judging by her demeanor. She raises her head, confronting the stranger.
Kura: "I think you may be in the wrong place madam.
Mind stating your business, stranger? And your name."
???: "My name, is Pawnee, and I'm here on official business. Business dealings with the kinds of the Hex."
The lopunny gets off the tree, standing upright and both arms straight down, clenching her fists, she stares at Kura with a dirty look. Whatever her business was, it was not in good faith. Kura kept her guard up, pressing Pawnee for more information before she makes a decision to either detain or eliminate her.
Pawnee: "You must either be living under a rock, or you're willingly ignorant. You're familiar with the attacks from the Hex. The raids, the assualts on innocent civilians, stealing particular objects of interests."
Kura: "You're here on a stupid quest for vengance, aren't you? Lets cut to the end, you are currently trespassing in restricted territory, I have no idea how you found this place, so if you intend on wanting to leave alive, I suggest you surrender yourself calmly, and this will be sorted out soon enough."
Pawnee: "As if I am a fool to turn myself into an easy target. You have this all wrong. The reason why I'm here is to put an end to your people's operations. The Hex is full of nothing but opportunists thugs who hide in the shadows. Your reign of terror will be put to an end by the fist of retribution!"
Kura: "Now hold on, I kever said you would die under our care. I am a Centari, high authority captain, this is not a fight you want, nor is it necessary. If you would simply stand down-"
The time for conversation is over, as Pawnee took the first initiative to deliver the starting blow to Kura. It was quick, Pawnee used Fake Out. The flinching caused the zoroark's vision to flash and lose her balance. "Cheap shot." At this point, the dark type chose to forget protocol, this stranger was clearly hostile and ill intended. Tumbing into the dirt then picking herself off the floor, she wipes her face off and awakens her fighting instinct. Kura was going to strike back with Night Shade, pulling her arms into the air and gathering dark and crimson energy. Pawnee wasn't finished, and with about just as even speed, the normal type uses Dizzy Punch. One punch, hits the dark type just below the eye, second punch, hits her in the lower torso, third one, strikes the zoroark right in the chin with an uppercut. All 3 very blinding, she was expecting this to be an easy fight. "How is she leveling me so easily? Beginner's luck, guess she is no ordinary run of the mill pokemon." Dazed, she pats her head to wake up and get her head back into the fight.
Kura: "That's it, you're finished!"
The zoroark was ready to strike back. With a quick thought, Kura brings her hand claws to her head and focuses to inflict an invisible deadly blast of psychic power, Extrasensory. Pawnee barely got a warning, other than the person she was looking at suddenly appeared warped and larger before returning to normal. The lopunny's head was rocked with a migrane, her body feeling a spike of discomfort. This broke her rhythm, giving Kura room to even Pawnee. The dark type flipped backwards away from the stranger, stopping while crouched. The zoroark opens her mouth, beginning to light up, her next attack to be Flamethrower. Pawnee exhales and notices a bright haze in the corner of her vision. "Hrrgh! Trying to burn me now?" The lopunny, swift, she was able to dodge the firey blast using Bounce. The fire wasn't fast enough to strike her, the delay gave Kura's attack away. Kura looks up into the air, vision clouded by the leaves above.
Kura: "Where'd you go?!?"
The Centari was prepared for the moment she would drop down to strike. Using her acute senses and listening for the moment she would attack. She heard a cracking from the twigs and brush. "Perfect." Kura evades to the left, baiting the lopunny to strike close. Now the rabbit was right where she wanted it, before Pawnee even knew her attack missed, Kura encased her with Night Daze. Everything went black for the normal type. The dark blast messed with her perception, losing sight temporarily. Kura struck Pawnee's legs, then jumping on top of her, getting the stranger to face down and restraining her arms. Kura wanted to end this as soon as she could so she can return back to headquarters and relax.
Kura: "Pawnee, you made a grave mistake. I was going to take you in, but after you ticked me off, you're finished!"
Pawnee: "Hnnngh, ugh, that's what all you Hex minions think. You always assume you have the upper hand, but that is where you're wrong."
The pinned rabbit made one last attempt. Not an attack, but a call for help. Pawnee began to whistle loudly, echoing through the quiet forest landscape. This caused Kura to lift her head and check her surroundings for any more danger. That little moment of distraction was when the lopunny tried to break free. She was met with a push against the dirt.
Kura: "Sit back down!"
As the zoroark was wrapping up to eliminate Pawnee, sounds of more incoming pokemon attracted her attention. Kura was not risking letting Pawnee go free, so it had to be immediate. Unfortunately, one of her teammates intervenes. Kura was struck in the back hard by a horned pokemon with Quick Attack. A sawsbuck. Its weigh and combined with its blow was massive, virtually crippling the captain. "Ouuwwuh!!!" Kura was now flat on the floor, the sawsbuck continued his barrage. The large deer used Double Kick, damage nearly incapacitating her. Pawnee got off the floor, smug, and the Sawsbuck standing by, indifferent. Pawnee puts a foot down on Kura's back. The armor she was once wearing, long shattered to pieces, at least it protected her from getting her spine destroyed.
Pawnee: "As I said, you are oh so dead wrong. Well, it was probably never a fair match to begin with, 2 against one. You claim to be a Centari, you're not so tough, but man though, adding a Centari to my kill count will impress the dudes back at home."
Sawsbuck: "Enough bragging Pawnee, it's time we get back onto the mission. It would be smarter to eliminate the Centari now, as it would disorient their ranks. Plus would be unwise to let this zoroark report back. Safe to say your call for help may have attracted the attention of other Hex members."
Pawnee: "Right. Lets get this over with. Speaking of adding Centari, that armor would look real nice on me, if it weren't broken. But you'd definitely add something special to my reputation~"
Pawnee was getting cocky, thinking this short victory was enough to hurt the organization of the Hex. Kura exhausted and in too much pain to move, all she can answer back with is a couple groans. "Reputation, why do I get the feeling what she's alluding to." Bearing her teeth, Kura turns to face the lopunny, having trouble turning her neck. The rabbit replied with a simple slap to her own thigh.
Kura: "When I get free, I'm going to... Ah, uck, tear you from limb from limb."
Pawnee: "Who said I was ever letting you go free?"
The lopunny picks up the Centari by the chest fur, the dark type limp. She wanted to savor her triumphant performance, but could enjoy this later. The captain was rudely shoved the muzzle of the zoroark into her mouth. Before Kura could even struggle, Pawnee's muscles kicked in, grappling the tall creature and compressing her face and head hair. Kure tried to take a breath to brace for the suffocatingly tight insides. "Hnng huh! Arrrgh! Gawh!" The lopunny had an affifiny for fighting types, and like most fighting types, their insides tended to be tough and rugged. Pawnee leaned against the ground, having Kura now semi crouched down. The pose felt silly, from the outside, it looked like Kura was promising with an engagement ring. One leg firm bend on the floor, the other backwards, with her head stuck in the lopunny's mouth. "This is so demeaning. I don't know what's worse, being stuck here while she turns me into a meal, or people finding out, humiliating me." The hands of the rabbit ran to clasp the pokemon's arms together. She was having a bit of trouble, but was certain she could finish Kura. The bulk of the zoroark was putting the lopunny's body to the test, now making it pass her shoulders. "Hhhorrrph, slmmph, rrrwwyk!" Her chest and arms were now deep inside the lopunny, hoisted into the air. Kura wasn't keeping track of time, but was sure it has been at least half a minute. Kura was feeling more open space the further descent was, the stomach. Her nose picked up a mixture of vegetation and sweets, guess this was her meaty diet after a while. Pawnee was losing her balance, Kura's face was imprinted in the rabbit's underbelly. On the outside, her expression was clearly distain.
Pawnee: "G-g-god you zoroarks have a lot of fur and bulk!"
Pawnee had to get flat against a tree, now all she needed to do was use gravity to shake the zoroark down. It was an easy trip now, her legs slipping gradually in like quicksand. The lopunny gave some assistance to Kura, using a finger to drive her feet down her throat. Last amount of trouble was that gravity only can do so much. Her face and claws were mushed against the dirt, bordered by the fleshy walling. Pawnee could not practically sit on top of her prize. Bending her legs, Kura then flet the crushing weight of Pawnee's upper weight and thights. The zoroark letter out a sigh, the rest of her body now having to curl up. Pawnee was fairly shorter than Kura, and the weight made it difficult to walk normally.
Pawnee: "There, now, take us back to camp, if you mind."
Sawsbuck: "Certainly, in due time."
The lopunny hunched on top of the sawsbuck to ride, to the grass type's annoyance after now feeling like a pack mule. He reasoned it will only be temporary, all he had to do was drop Pawnee off. Carrying 2 people was above his usual riders, the zoroark smushed in front of the rabbit and sitting right behind the deer's neck. Kura sat there in her muscular prison with barely any breathing room. She was tiring out, Kura would slip more into unconscious. Sleep, passing out, she couldn't tell the difference. All the way there, the only sounds being uttered from the Centari was "Hrrph, urrrk, ooaaaugh, mmmurg..."
Nobody knew how much time had passed, how much had Kura been gone or suffered. At the most, there would have been a search larty after an abnormal time of her passing. It was a long, black dream of unthinking. Kura would slowly re-emerge from her blackout. It was roomy this time, not damp or musty. Something was pulling on her shoulder, being dragged onto the floor. Then a soothing energy would flow throughout her nerves and muscle tissue. Someone holding her head up, their hand soft. Kura's eyes would gradually open once regaining enough consciousness. She would be greeted by a familiar voice.
Kura: "...Hhhhrr, wwrr, wha, is going on?"
Clause: "Oh thank Arceus you're okay, Blitz confirmed my suspicions somebody was calling out, just never expected it to be strangers really."
Blitz: "More like the scream of a losing twerp. I recognize those types of pleas anywhere. Guess these idiots were stupid thinking a whistle would hide the fact they were calling for help. Welcome sunshine, fabulous you made it out alive."
Kura had her vision restored, and her aching pains soon eased. The meowstic in his dark blue cloak, and beside him was an audino. The pink medic helping Kura, nurturing the Centari to full health. Clause urged the zoroark to take her time to recover, as it wouldn't be wise to rise immediately after regaining her awareness. Kura sprung up, a couple thoughts running through her head. Relief, shame, irritable, and fury, all at once. The zoroark sprung, sitting up. Clause stepped back, one hand out to Kura for caution. Her whole fur was drenched in saliva, warm.
Kura: "Wait, I remember now, that, that punk! Pawnee, the lopunny. Is she here?!?"
Clause: "Slow down Kura, you were badly injured. Hurting all over. I brought an audino just in case there was a battle occurring. France was, semi-kind enough to let us ride him... It appears you were in a fight with these strangers. Judging from.their insignias, they must be related to a different faction, not ours at all... Fortunately we could save you. Unfortunately, a certain somebody decided to hit you extra hard when you were trapped inside that rabbit."
Blitz: "Oops, I didn't know, hahahaha! At worst, it could have been a miscarriage. Bun in the oven? Get it? Hahahahah!... You people have no sense of humor. I saved your life, twerp, now you owe me. Neither the sawsbuck nor the lopunny offered an entertaining fight. Wasn't a fight really, more like a slaughter."
France: "Lucky you, I could have had a share, but no, I had to play horse! You owe me too Clause!"
Kura: "Rrrgh, everyone, quiet! Where's the lopunny? I want her alive, that thorn in my side is going to see what it means to-"
France: "Ummmm she's right over there. No big speech needed, I'd like to go home and relax."
The dark type stared at the 2, the sawsbuck and Pawnee were heavily damaged, full of burn marks when they got roasted by Blitz's Heat Wave. They were alive, although not in great shape. The deer was virtually totalled. "Serves him right for trying to break my back." Kura didn't feel like smirking, or rubbing it in her face, she wanted to get down to this "business" as soon as possible.
Kura: "We take the sawsbuck in for questioning. I want the lopunny in a seperate jail cell once I deal with her. Suseena will need to know how a couple of strangers found this secret Hex base. As they will be a liability in the future. We should try to find out how much they know, and who they are working for."
Clause: "Kura is right, we risk confidentiality, information gets out where the Hex is staying, we will end up with enemy factions at our doorstep."
France: "Oh yes, let them know where we are. There will be lots of pokemon to fight. It'll be fun!"
Blitz: "Lots of fun, yes, however I prefer our hideout remains private. I need my time to relax, thank you."
Cue after an hour of breif cleaning up, returning to HQ, detaining the 2 strangers, and updates ditectly to the Royal, Suseena. The zoroark stood in front of Suseena, facing her boss, on edge but with a grudge against the Pawnee. The Centari tried to look as respectful and submissive as possible, already sweating slightly. The mienshao in her robe sat casually resting up against the throne chair. The Royal didn't look riled at all, or disappointment, just indifference. She was ignorant to what had happened, and since Kura would be the first to answer directly to her, it was a test to her title as Centari.
Kura: "Master Suseena, I thought to bring it to your attention that 2 trespassers had found the location of the Hex, this hideout. It is of upmost importance that we begin working on this next mission, to find out who sent these strangers, and how to stop information spreading of our whereabouts. I was down in the forest training, where a lopunny named Pawnee attacked me, followed by her accomplice, a sawsbuck. Normally I would have been able to fend myself, but these 2 aren't ordinary pokemon, as they were sent out with experience. Ic more just like them exist, all related, we need to quash their operations."
Just as the meeting is taking place, the houndoom Blitz walks in, unprofessional and a walking style full of ego. He chuckled and tells the mienshao straight.
Blitz: "Your Centari here almost got her butt kicked by a rabbit and a deer. Hahah, while I went in to respond a moron's plea for help, I came across those twerps. That bulge, I had no idea Kura was inside, guess Pawnee saw it was more worthy to have her turn into body fat! Mheheh!"
There, Kura was frozen. While crouched before her Royal, the rumor gets dropped in with the weight of a bowling ball. That was the last thing Kura wanted people to hear, the humiliation that would follow, her reputation would never live it down. The zoroark began to sweat more profusely, taking a swallow. "Stupid bully, he just had to open his mouth and make me a laughing stock." Her eyes widened, then looked up with a bit of desperation, head low.
Kura: "Please, let me redeem myself. I wouldn't ever let anyone make a fool of us, of you, again! If you give me this chance, we could, I could stop them! I, my subjects won't respect me if I don't stand for my dignity! Please Suseena, let me handle this. For the Hex's sake, and mine as well!"
The Royal was slightly impressed with her immediate desire to jump right into the mission, upfront, while also grasping the scale of the situation. Suseena already coudl tell Kura was also doing it out of part fear. The mienshao sat up, waving at Blitz to he dismissed. The houndoom Centari leaves the room, and Suseena then walks over to the zoroark. Kura lowered her head further in respect to not appear so arrogant. Suseena stands with her back flat, and bring a hand to the dark type's chin. She makes her head raise to face the mienshao eye to eye. At this point, Kura's mouth was partly open with shock, Suseena smiling back.
Suseena: "Cheer up Kura. We can't win all of our battles. What's most important is that we don't lose the war, it has only just begun. It was inconvenient they caught you in a corner. You will be able to reclaim your pride soon enough... I like your eagerness to jump right into the mission, already taking lead to organize the campaign. That's what I like from all of my Centari, ma'am. Remember though, never charge into this, battle, aka, mission, with anger. As rage will could your judgement... I understand how humiliating it is to lose in this, scenario, the way you have."
The Royal looked down at her destroyed uniform, the metal bits broken off and leaving a leathery, cloth-like leftover. "Her image, vandalized. Scared, drive to repair it. Another reason why I chose you out of all others." She telss Kura to stand up on both of her legs. Reluctantly, she follows, now standing tall over the mienshao. Kura, confused as to why she'd let her stand up before her.
Suseena: "It's been a long day for you. It's night time. You should probably rest, get ready for the mission tomorrow, but remember to take it easy... Take off your uniform, it's filthy and in despair."
Kura: "Okay, but-"
Suseena: "Shh, no worries. Take it easy. You should go relax, take a shower. We will get you a new uniform later. Get your team tomorrow ready, have a plan, clear your head, and make that lopunny pay. She's all yours. That is all."
As a friendly gesture, Suseena rubs Kura on the back, then on hand rolling down to pat her belly. The Royal already hinting what she knew would happen next, then heading off. Kura was blank for a second, less stressed out. "Oh, the lopunny!" The zoroark dashed towards the prison cells heading out with her uniform discarded. She would meet face to face with the lopunny sitting idly behind bars, lethargic. Kura felt her temper resurge. Huffing, she then gets the key to the door cell to open. Pawnee would turn to see Kura.
Pawnee: "Ak, rmm, well, didn't think I'd, see your face again."
Kura: "Times up sucker, you're supper."
Not even letting Pawnee get any send off or last words. She wanted to make the normal type suffer the same fate she was almost destined to. Kura was larger, full of vigor from being healed by the Audino, and she hasn't eaten. Her white, bright teeth shines, between holding a smug grin and predatory instincts taking over. The claws clenched Pawnee, usurping her from her resting area where she lied. *Clamp!* The zoroark's wide jaws enveloped the lopunny. As she was arrogant a moment before, now was turning over completely. Kura's teeth and lips grinds around her shoulders, the fact that she was a rabbit added to her flavor.
Pawnee: "Hrrrghmph! I'm s-sorry! I'll do anything to rep-pay you, anything! I sometimes get c-carried away, I wasn't really going to turn you into fat. Just how you planned on letting me live you know! Agh ahhah!"
Her please would be answered. The response was for her to bite down on the Lopunny, hurting her and adding to the sounds of struggle. Screams, yelling, and anger would turn Kura into having a trance. "Hoorrrmph!" Unlike the almost full minute Kura took to be devoured, the dark type herself would finish in half of the time. She was like a shark, chomping and gnawing on the lopunny as it traveled through her throaty pipe. Kura grabbed her legs, chewing her like gum. And since she couldn't see in the dark, there was little telling for Pawnee of her surroundings. Light would stop, slipping into the dark abyss. Kura's episode subsided, becoming more aware. The lopunny's feet dangled out from her trap-jaws, no longer biting the lopunny on her way down. Kura took a look at herself, then realized she needs to take a shower. Kura didn't even bother to gulp the rest of her right away. She would take wide strides towards the exit, closing her lips as the limbs poked around in her mouth. She would run past the guards, suddenly passing by the smergale, Suseena's advisor. Kura was clumsy, finding it hard to focus on getting through the door while handling her meal.
Advisor: "Gah!"
Kura: "Hoh, rmm, shorry, I buttrr, rrrm, trrrk, crre of thish..."
The advisor was crushed against the doorway, stuck with Kura, sandwiched together. Kura made a hard swallow, sending the remaining feet to join the still screaming lopunny. The quake had shaken the zoroark, the vibration felt by the smergale to his embarrassment. "Gughghgh!" It gave the advisor goose bumps. At least now, Kura could slip through the doorway. She heads towards her private room, to the showers and take a hot bath. Turning the water all the way up, and letting the steam fill the room, Kura laid against the tiles with bliss and sigh. The lopunny was not willing to give up her useless efforts yet. Kura layed in the corner, her legs straightened forward and head looking at the ceiling with her eyes closed. There, she felt like she was in heaven. The warm clouds circling around her, the gentle massage near her hips and gut, Kura breathed out, blowing away the team as if smoking. She say there for about 20 minutes before showering normally. There, Kura dried up and headed for bed. It was hard to find a sleeping position, the bulge packing inside her was very fussy. Tired, but not completely ready to go to bed, decided to fool around. The zoroark sat up, leaning in on her gut. She hugs it and flexes her clawed fingers and toes while on her blanket. Kura looked side to side, then would lean in to press her muzzle against her belly. She drove her tongue to run across the outline of the lopunny, taunting her. Thinking of what to do, she plans on maybe chilling out in the dining area.
Kura: "I don't have to go to bed so early."
The zoroark heads out, intending to drink. "All this eating and I had nothing to quench my thirst." Kura's entry got many of the Hex members to turn an eye towards Kura. So many looking towards the still moving Pawnee inside the Centari. Clause had also been at the bar, he tried diverting his eyes from seeing Kura's girth, not wanting to seem rude, or percieved as a perv. The zoroark was pensive, thinking if it was wise to walk among the public like this. She hastily moves in, sitting down while trying her best to ignore all the staring. Now she sat next to Clause, back against the crowd. The head bartender went up, seeing what Kura wanted.
Kura: "Moderate alchohol content, and maybe some laxative pills to make this meal digest faster..."
Clause: "Long day hasn't it? I am thankful you made a smooth and prosperous return."
Kura: "Yeah yeah. Pawnee gets what she deserved... All these staring eyes. Can't they look somewhere else."
Clause: "I hope they do avert their eyes. Eating like this isn't that alien. But perhaps they're more focused towards. *whispering* "Your body."
The captain jumped, hitting her gut against the fixed table. Pawnee responds with an "Ouch!" Kura covers her blushing face, playing ignorant to Clause's comment. "My body? Ah, no. They know better than too oogle a Centari. A most indecent behavior." Kura takes a couple shots of her drink to forget her situation. The zoroark kept asing for more drinks, Clause becoming worried she will overdo it. The zoroark adjusts in her chair, a lound "Wrrry, wrryhm, gllyck" echoing throughout the room, as it was oddly silent. There were 30 occupants, some being zoros like her, all fixated on her. Eventually her drinking got so heavy her judgment and personality got altered before she realized hit. Her gut also seemed to calm down, now making dramatically more noise than usual.
Kura: "Ahahah. Ooo! What's going on Pawnee, giving up?"
One patron, a zangoose, was sitting very close to the Centari. He had been looking on and off her for the past 10 minutes. He was having some risky thoughts that could risk him embarrassing himself, but he was thinking what the others were. Kura, smiling brightly and holding the table for balance, focuses on the patron eyeing her.
Kura: "Wheeheheh, hey you. What do you think you're looking at. Obsessed with someone in particular. Why are you eyeballing me? Hic!"
Patron: "I mean, no. Not entirely.... M-mind, madam, if you uh. Put your hands on your hips."
Kura: "Oh, you mean, like this, you rascal?"
The dark type stood right up, back turned at the crowd, then placing her claws right where she was asked. She then proceeded to shake her waist sideways, with a wave pattern. The liquid swished, could be confused for a balloon if it weren't for the groggling from Pawnee. Kura heads forward to the patron and began to growl playfully. No shame while in her drunken state. The zangoose minion was pinned, not expecting her to advance so quickly. Some of the members watching began to clap and praise Kura for feeding into their wishes, knowing they wouldn't get away with this normally. Might as well enjoy it while they can.
Kura: "Ack, oh, I think I had my fill for today. It's probably time I go to bed, before I, hick, become distracted with you lot. Heheheh."
Patron: "H, hey, why not do a little sway errrr, dance while on your way out, m'lady?"
Kura: "Rrrrrm, you damn recruits are so, demanding, bleh."
The zoroark sluggishly heads towards the door. Clause facepalming through the whole occasion. Kura was hitting the tables, knocking over chairs. The meowstic got up from his seat to guide Kura to her room. He turned around and gave the patrons a disapproving look, and worry with Kura. He crossed his fingers hoping Kura didn't have any memory of further humiliation. "It's best we prepare for the next day. We need Kura's mind clear, without impairment of judgment." On their way out, one minion just had to pick on Clause with a quip, followed by an erupt in laughter
Patron: "Oh, you plan on sleeping with Kura tonight, or are you just trying to earn pal points with another Centari?"
Clause rolled his eyes, not amused and keeping his comments to himself. "As if Blitz wasn't enough." Together, Clause tried guiding the dark type to her room. Traveling back wasn't smooth. Kura was constantly laying against the short psychic, slumping her weight against the blue cat. Her enormous gut pinned Clause temporarily, able to hear what was going on inside the zoroark. The lopunny was getting turned into mush, breathing her last. Pawnee wasn't so much as suffocating, but losing all her senses. The dark type was draining every inch of lifeforce. At this point, Pawnee was hallucinating. It had to be from sensory deprivation, or the illusion traits of her predator. The movement was getting slower, and becoming softer. Out of curiosity, Clause placed his ear against Kura's belly. Past all the noisy gurgling and morbid moaning, the cat identified Pawnee was past saving, even if they were able to extract the lopunny. All around, soldiers, agents, and staff were watching the sight. It was amusing, a short stubby and slightly reserved cat next to a sloppy, unkept, and hammered, a ridiculous couple. His face turns red, covering his head with the cloak. Backing off, Clause takes the Centari to her room, leaving the zoroark on the bed.
Clause: "Sleep tight, and good night, I guess... Please be ready in the morning."
No response from the tired black fox. She wrapped herself up in blankets, sleeping in a diagonal position. While leaving, the psychic breathed a sigh of relief, and that nothing like this were to ever happen in the future. Considering that Pawnee and the Sawsbuck found an area the Hex were hiding, this was a matter that needed attention. It's best not only Kura prepared, but Clause would as well. Thinking productively, he gave Kura a head start by organizing her next mission, at least part of it. Afterward, the Centari can piece together her plans using the outline... About 9 long hours of sleep, the sunrise enlightens Kura's room. The zoroark awoken with a sense of bliss, her first thoughts is what her progress was on Pawnee. She glances at the remaining bowl shape of the lopunny, clearly digested into pace. Bringing one finger claw towards it, the reddish nail sinks almost 1 whole inch. Kura shrugs, getting out of bed, looking over herself in the mirror.
Kura: "My new armor is going to need some adjustments. Hmmm, nah, I can work this off after a day or two. I can always turn my armor looser."
Morning routine, it was time to organize for the mission. She is counting on her underlings not getting distracted with her temporary image, armor should help conceal that. Leaving the room, the Centari was ready for her next operations.
Kura: "Pawnee may be done for, but I'm sure there are many others that are aware of our location. Hopefully her teammates are unaware of her disappearance, so we can act quickly and steal her identity... They're going to see what happens when they make a joke out me in front of my colleagues... Well, that's more of Blitz's fault, but whatever."

First time uploading a story. Txt doesn't seem to agree with me, so this format may work better. Also over 10,000 felt like a pain. Maybe next time it will be 7000 words or something. Well, I can excuse this one, as it was the establishing chapter.
Maybe when I get better cover images, I change it, but I will be using this format for now.
Kura the zoroark belongs to me.
