Personality: A girl torn between loyalty to her home country and its rebellion, Svetlana suffers in silence, and often feels powerless in the situations she gets stuck in. A pessimist who doesn't see a bright side to any situation, she's silenced herself and tricked herself into believing her choices don't matter. Despite this, she is hopeful in the future, but feels powerless to change it herself.

History: Svetlana was born shortly before the great Civil War in Estonia. Her father went on to be one of the rebellion's most prominent leaders, she knew conflict for most of her life. A victim, she could never go to a proper school, and had to be homeschooled by her mother during the war. Despite her reluctance, and against her wishes, she became a symbol of hope to the rebellion- That even poor commoners could produce beautiful diamonds in the rough, a shiny like her. She was forced to evolve into a Sylveon at a young age to bolster this, and was often used as a face of the rebellion, until Estonian forces captured her and her family, ending the rebellion quickly. Rebel forces were being wiped out by a series of snipers, and the monarchy had captured many prominent leaders during a raid of their sanctuary. Svetlana and her whole family was to be put to death, hanged in public to set an example.

However, a young Jolteon turned traitor approached them in their cell. He told them he wished to help them escape, but could only smuggle one out of the country, to which Svetlana disagreed to... But her family insisted, nay, forced her to leave them behind so that she might live a full life in another land. Unprepared, uneducated, and not speaking a word of English, she and this Jolteon migrated across the sea, escaping the chaos of Esten for hopes of a better life, unable to change the country.They stowed away on a cargo ship exporting goods to a neighboring country, and spent many months roaming in search of a new home. One day, she was separated from her savior, and left in a world that could not understand her... Until she met a woman who knew her home tongue. Her name was Persephone, and she had promised to take in the girl and care for her. Little did she know, this too, was not in her best interests, as shortly afterwards, she was coerced into signing a contract she couldn't understand, and forced to be the Primarina's co-star, despite her inability to sing, or even speak English like her! She was simply a pretty face to help further sell albums... And that's where she is today. Affectionately referred to the public as The Silent Siren, she doesn't speak a word during interviews or outside her "performances"- little more than lip syncing to Persephone's altered vocals. She travels the world with the pop star, unable to do anything else beyond learn English, slowly but surely, and hope that one day, someone would save her from her predicament... Though she does sneak out at night to have some semblance of freedom.
