History: Once upon a time, while Rei was pregnant, a random stranger ran up to her, wiggled their fingers over her stomach and said "I curse your child" and ran off. Ever since then, Rei has been concerned that her child was actually cursed and it wasn't just some dumb teen pranking her, and set about "curing" him in every way she could. While his mother was very superstitious, he grew up skeptical, as none of her cures fixed his seemingly rotten luck.After barely surviving high school, he works as a surfboard polisher on the beaches of Alola, and is his mom's biggest fan.
