So. The popular genie idea is only three wish. But that's not the only kind. There been stories where genies changes how life turned out in the past. Or seek to improve their masters current life how they see fit. Or act as humble servants for the masters life. After which they'd free.

And like...was he a toon genie? Only able to work on other toons? Or could he aftect humans or was he a real genie?

Well since their would has living rooms I think magic is real to some extent.
He did Grant wishes but not the traditional way. Roger was just singing a song and never once actually realised the genie from the lamp. The twist is that the genie did s sort of monkey paw with the wishes and put a time limit on them. Also he forced some one to love a another so it's also braking that modern rule.

first of all I have to be pedantic and say. The love limit I've only every seen in Disney's Aladdin.
Second of all.byour not thinking far enough. I mean break away from the wish granting idea all together. WCRR just put a different trigger on same thing.
Pick some other method of beneficial magic.

well in my defense a lot of people I talk to put that rule with genies in general cause of Aladdin. one of the wish master movies also had a sort of complication with that sort of wish but poorly handled and a crappy movie.
it may not be brake away but i feel it should at least get an honorable mention just for adding a twist with not just the trigger but also a bullet.
