Couch Kitties: 30 Seconds Over Ward Heeler
https://mashable.com/article/pigeon.....oblem-chicago/
A state representative from Illinois who's trying to do something about an ongoing pigeon poop problem was pooped on by a pigeon, and the whole attack was caught on camera.
The unfortunately bombardment happened on live television, when CBS Chicago shot a follow-up story about the cleanliness of the Irving Park Blue Line station. The stop, also known as the "pigeon poop stop," has locals dodging falling feathers and flying excrement.

good for them.
the world needs more feral cats and foxes though.
and the same rights to life and rights of way as humans.
birds gotta do do what birds gotta
and all those spikes and fortifications against them don't make the world look like a better place either.
nothing "has dominion over"anything. human egos just tell humans to tell each other to pretend to.
something i was just thinking about before reading this.
not exactly news news, but good for a grin.
pigeons and faral cats are totally equal opportunity non-partisan.
i wouldn't call anyone progressive who opposes equal rights for non-humans though.
only creatures that humans have a moral right to individually own,
are microbe cultures and agricultural stock.
other creatures are fine to share your lodgings, should they choose,
but that need not carry the delusions and commitments of ownership.
dogs are a special case being biologically domesticated,
but cats just happen, are only 'domesticated' by experience and choice.
as for pigeons in cities, its the cities that are a mistake.
just like the problem of cars getting in the way of public transportation.
there's a lot to be said FOR pigeon poop too, but i didn't mean to start writing a book about it.

He circled up and 'round, and then he settled on the ground,
And off he went straight up to the sky.
And then I looked and I could see he was flying back to me,
And then he swooped and he pooped right in my eye.
I thought, "That's bloody rude!" and, "Cor, there's gratitude!"
And, "I hope they never cross a pigeon with a cow!"
And Dad said, "Here, I see a caper, I'll go get a bit of paper,
I said, "Don't be daft, he's miles away by now!"

(sings)
"Spring is here! Spring is here!
Life is skittles, and life is beer;
I think the loveliest time of the year
Is the spring. I do! Don't you? 'course you do!
But there's one thing that makes spring complete for me,
And makes every Sunday a treat for me:
All the world seems in tune,
On a spring afternoon,
When we're poisoning pigeons in the park!"
Etc.
