Varik is a mysterious lizard thing. He is never caught far from his truck, or without a facemask.
There's a rumor going around that he was the one who left a destruction derby in ashes. The truck nearly fits the description of the suspect's vehicle, but without the addition of flood lamps and the canopy. Or the painted sigils and runes. Even so, he has never been stopped by police or questioned.
Since partnering with Alli, Varik has been more active in the inner city, helping her peddle goods and protecting her from would-be thieves. She supplies him with enough cash to maintain his truck and himself. He talks to no one, but one might often hear him whispering to himself.
When trying to get a closer look at the truck, I couldn't seem to bring myself to look inside. A sudden disinterest struck me, or I feared what I would find. Something supernatural is going on in there. It's no surprise Varik is immune, he's probably the reason. But Alli doesn't seem to be phased by it!
He listens to his truck.

I like the design of him and his truck first off. Definitely has that "creepy and mysterious" feel you're going for.
His story's pretty cool too! Reminds me a tiny bit of ghost Rider with the supernatural ride. But he's definitely unique in his own way with how his ride is and the story tied to it.
And this part may just be me, but the description Gave me a "blade runner meets magic" vibe and I'm a sucker for that. And lizards. Out tow together with a really interesting story and I'm going to love it!
