I loved that game. I replayed it many times to unlock the weapons and armor and bonuses for subsequent playthroughs.

it's a pretty cool game until the story just decided to fall apart near the end

Especially coming off the heals of the first game with how great the monster designs were, when I finally got around to playing 2, which was basically just a Resident Evil clone with HP and leveling up, the monsters in this were laughable. The exploding babies, the gremlin things with tin cans an their butts, and this fucking camel monstrosity. What makes it even worse is when you find out that they were setting up some sort of human zoo where people could willing BECOME these things. Nice camel boi ya drew there.

No.9 and the GOLEMs were pretty cool, though.

but heck yeah i like how busted their ideology was on this new evolution of humans where it's like "Ok so we got the babies, they like to explode into bone shards to kill their prey so their other friends can eat it"

The first one was much better, at least for my tastes, but I still loved Parasite Eve 2 too ^^... Now, if the story hadn't exploded near the end...

the story didn't even explode it just sorta tripped down the stairs a lil bit

I always preferred the big white furry one you had to fight as a boss. The cutscene it first appeared in was suitably ominous looking.
Also, nice use of the 'just when you think it's dead...' type of trope.

To be honest, if they released a Parasite Eve collection on Switch, I might even play it

I love Parasite Eve. I beat the first game and 3rd Birthday, but I have yet to beat the second game.

i knew this was from PE as soon as i saw it. I beat all 3 games and they were good.
