It seems all the one-way valves between her room and the station’s first stage waste processing plant were reversed and the contents of the plant were forced into the room under pressure. When the station personal forced the door to her rooms they would have gotten back what they’d been flushing."
"Oh … shit …" Cindy half-muttered, trying not to snicker.

Sorry I didn't stop on the way to comment but it was just too good to take the time out. Excellent pacing and slow build up of tension, your main character is one plucky and clever fellow. I have a few theories on what the big picture is but the way you drop subtle clues and set ups for later developments is well done. Looking forward for more.
