Hello everyone, I've been doing some little project on my own.
I saw a keyring bear trap from YouTube (https://youtu.be/ccRGaZjfRs4) and wanted to make my own.
At first, I used the template he uploaded, and tried to cut SUS304, but it was TOO hard.
I went to the hardware store to get some proper tools, then they introduced me a laser metal cutting company.
Then, I start using google sketchup and LibreCAD to draw dxf file, so they can cut the metal precisely.
About months of experimenting and 4 times of re-designing, I made my own mini beartrap.
(You can find some progress on my twitter account, and here is the final result : https://twitter.com/KPYOSHI/status/.....8159812542464)
And since I don't have a job, I am thinking about selling these online.
Here's the price list!
-Price list-
Basic : $30 (it can get rusty. avoid moisture. apply lubricant oil will prevent rust well)
Rusty edition : +$5 (make it rusty on purpose, then add transparent coat)
+Spray Paint : +$15 (Black / Silver / light gold / transparent)
+Short message(8~10 letters) : +$5
-About shipping-
According to the post office, Regular small parcel will be about $2~5. (but no tracking service)
EMS(Express Mail Service. provide tracking service) depends on country, but to USA, less than 0.5kg cost $22.23, and depends on the country, it can be $27.69
If you want to receive it fast and safe, choose EMS option.
I will accept payment through PayPal, but I will accept iTunes or Amazon Gift card thingy too XD
Every piece will be order-made and assemble by my hand. I will put a serial numbers on every piece.
If you want different color(i.e. red, blue, etc) I will look for the paint but it will cost extra $10
I use high quality spray paint for restoring car paint, but it has limit on the color variations. (like, I couldn't find complete gold or chrome color...)
This paint will prevent from getting rusty, but can't guarantee the scratch (car paint can get damage from strong scratch you know)
P.S.I tried to contact BrainFooTV for the permission and such, but he didn't gave me any reply...
I was motivated from his work, but after 4 times of re-designing, the mechanism is same but details are quite different from original. I hope this won't make any copyright issue...
