I thought it would be fun to doodle some of the monsters I have come across in various D&D campaigns I've played over the years.
Featuring:
Gelatinous Cube:
I was playing a kenku rogue, and our team was investigating an old rotted, wooded library. One of these sneaky buggers fell from the ceiling rafters and slurped down into the lower staircase we had intended on going down, and used its acid to eat away the safe path.
Sea Hag:
I was playing a forest gnome child, our team had ventured deep inside a hidden sea cliff cave to track down a lost child. We became charmed by a beautiful woman who was all alone in the bottom of the watery cave. Once her charm was broken, we saw the sea hags true form and the body of the lost child - already feasted upon.
Cloaker:
I was playing one of my current characters, a spore druid human. We were investigating the top floor of our tavern and whilst going through the closet was attacked by a cloaker.
Owlbear:
I was DM'ing a campagin I ran, the players stumbled accross an empty owlbear nest whilst becoming lost in a dense forest. They became paranoid about owlbears stalking them for 2 sessions. The nest was empty, and there were never going to be any owlbears show up.
Mimic:
I was playing my trickster cleric tabaxi, and she got lost in an ice maze, finding a chest at the end of one of the tunnels. It tried to eat her.
Frost Salamander:
I was playing a trickster cleric tabaxi, where each floor of the dungeon we were in was an entirely different environment. This floor of the dungeon was a glacier, and whilst exploring an ice cave this nasty guy burst through the cave walls and attacked.
Ambush Drake:
I was playing my trickster cleric tabaxi, this floor of the endless dungeon was a series of sky islands one of which was covered in dense jungle. The mush drake... ambushed us from the jungle tree tops.
Do you have any requests for the next batch of Dungeons & Dragons monsters I doodle?
