Like the swords carried by the knights of old, the sidearms issued or bought by officers of the RAC armed forces are a symbol of prestige and skill for their users. Usually jet black or another mat color and emblazoned with a hardlight depiction of the user's pack symbol on its slide, these sidearms are often very personal items to the officers who carry them and are often seen as a symbol of the reach of their packs influence, much like the sword passed down from generation to generation.

FIELD ANALYSIS: The sidearm issued to the officers of the Royal Alliance of Collis Armed Forces is a .50cal firearm capable of firing plasmatic projectiles as well as other specialized ammunition types. Chosen from three designs offered by rival company's, the Frostbite Industries (Personal. Defense. Plasmatic. Hand. Cannon.-2) is at times the only weapon issued to officers in support or light combat roles. A versatile weapon on the ever-evolving battlefield, the PDPHC-2 is capable of linking wirelessly to the systems of most power armors and combat skins through the use of the uplinks in its grips. While base models are issued to officers, individuals are authorized to and often do commission their own personalized unit of the weapon, which often includes the symbol of their pack as a Hardlight decoration on the slide (example above is that of Ashkay Snowhunter). Despite being a mere sidearm, the weapon has proven itself in battle, and has developed a reputation of leaving little behind of infantry units and hostile fauna it's used against.
