I mean - the whole was so technically detailed it was totally believable (something you don't find in a lot of sci-fi stories) and then you hit me between the eyes with a 2X4. How could I not love it?

*grins* Wuff's been a techie-geek from WAY back. Vrghr loves the stuff, and is very glad he could create something believable, even in a realm as far-fetched as dimensional warp travel. *grin*

Wuff's currently toying with a SF story about an otter-type char trying to save a "hijacked" space station. LOTS of techie-geekism stuff going on there. Vrghr's having a bit of trouble trying to get a good, satisfactory conclusion. But the entry stages seem pretty solid so far.

Might toss the initial chapters up on Vrghr's FA gallery here, just to see how they're received. And perhaps get some ideas on how to wrap it all up effectively. *grin*

Interesting idea for FTL travel. I suppose if you can at least tweak reality, or find one more suited to your needs, you don't have to worry so much about the distance between the stars. It's either that or immortality, and neither comes free of charge. Gotta pay your dues, check your list twice, and watch out for the occasional wrench in the machine. Even with all the tech in the universe, something can still go wrong.

Hope someone finds the traveler soon. Preferably before he has to dig into the foul-tasting emergency rations. =P

Yeah, those rations are probably some nasty stuff!
