Magic is fading, the gods who once ruled over the land have all but vanished after they began warring with each other. In the midst of battle, a dark Veil shrouded the sun itself, raising the fallen warriors and priests from the dead. For three days the Veil remained, and those alive maintained bastions in their largest cities, giving everything they had just to stay alive. During those three days, lives were lost, prophecies told, and new lives began under the darkest of nights. On the third day, the Veil disappeared as suddenly as it came, and along with it went the gods.

For ten years, people have rebuilt the society they had before, but with almost 1/3 of the population gone, things would never be quite the same. Navigating this fractured world are the mouse Savv, an aspiring thief in over his head, and his newfound partner Gehenna, a kindhearted gnoll with a foreboding past.

There are always shadows hiding beneath the surface, one only need look hard enough.
