Miasma makes a “deal” with a Greedybag named Grant to take over his loan business. Grant gets to keep his operations, Miasma can go after more dangerous targets, and many more will go missing.
Greedybags are a rare species of monster. As their name implies they are all about cash and gaining as much of it as possible. They always make deals where they always come out on top. They are powerful curse magic users but their magic is restricted through making contracts of some kind.
Grant doesn't make deals for lots of cash but instead for easy meals. The money he loans is actually cursed and triggers when he says the phrase “I've come to collect,” but only after a period of time has passed (at least a week). As long as the target has at least one piece of loaned gold in their possesion (on them or stored on their property) the curse forces the prey and even those nearby to submit themselves to Grant. Most powerful monsters have curse immunity so the magic doesn't effect them.
