You know, when I started drawing that mermaid she was supposed to be a normal, run of the mill half-fishie. Then that tropical color scheme came out of nowhere and I had to run with it.

HOLY CRAP I HATE BACKGROUNDS. They take forever and I did the entire damn background in one sitting and my hand was in large amounts of pain. ;_; Alas, I told myself, "Self, you need to get your ass in gear and start doing backgrounds or I'ma kick you in the head."

So I'm screwed.

PS. I haven't used in colored pencils in ages and it was lotsa fun! XD; I forgot how entertaining it is to do a colored traditional drawing.

PPS. I am now down to 89 themes left....maybe I'll manage to finish it before 2020.
