You know that feeling when you are a young Tyrogue looking forward to/preparing for the day that you evolve into a flexible, swift and hard-hitting Hitmonlee... only to accidentally screw up your stat distribution and end up as a Hitmonchan?
... No?
... oh, right, my bad.
Anyways, that's exactly what happened with Lyre Banner, who, ehh, end up not-so-much a bit salty as he was little bit--ABSOLUTELY LIVID about the whole deal--after all, (non-Mega) Evolutions are final. Still, in his heart he feels he is a Hitmonlee, and he did train himself in kickboxing and muay thai prior to evolving, so that is what he's chosen to stick with; utilizing various fighting moves passed down his family for generations, including High Jump Kicks, Feints, and Rapid Spins, as well as a wide assortment of Iron Fist-boosted punches, he has forged his own fighting style that also incorporates military-style techniques.
... course, that doesn't stop him from being a bit of an edgelord over his whole "mucked-up Evolution" thing.
