Violets Hot Shorts
After seeing a Chun Li mod with her in hot pants I really wanted Violet to have hot pants too. So on the way to work I doodled her in them and for an experiment I tried a lineless style.
I think it turned out well especially considering how I usually depend on inks for selections and separations of colors and forms. I felt uncomfortable coloring this way however it was new and because of that it was fun to try it.

nice work on this indeed. you did a good job on the no lines aspect, none of the areas bleed into each other, in fact it creates quite a stark contrast which works well, I think, certainly so with the backlighting.

Ide say that this experimentation with the coloring worked out great. I don't know what the rest of the viewers think but the coloring method on this one gives it more of a fluid feeling and flow throughout her body. And with now hard lines to distract the eye, it feels like I can move more freely across the whole pic. Dont get me wrong though your line work is also good, but as far as an experiment with colors go, Ide say that this is a deffinite success! Cheers.
Ah yes, lineless can be a huge pain in the ass, however I think you did a great job on this. My favourite part are her thighs, you can just see how squishy they look! X3 Maybe if you do a lineless again, try and use another dark value to separate the shapes better? I dunno. I just think you should try this again. It looks really good. c:
