HK - NKG in a nutshell
Guess who fought Nightmare King Grimm recently, guess whose first 12 tries basically looked like this. I did get him after about an hour and a half and tbh I would fight him again, it's a fun fight. Would definitely rather fight him than any more levels of Zote.
Also tis the one boss that makes me feel accomplished and depressed for beating him lol.

I can see my fight with Nightmare King being similar to yours. Go in, BOOM, ded.
I do a pretty good job with Grimm, though I've yet to actually beat him. I've gotten past his first stagger a small handful of times, but most of the time I end up taking a significant amount of damage after his first stagger and end up getting defeated by either his Fire Bats, Cloak Spikes or Cloak Swipe. Though I do think I've been defeated by his skitter. I have one mask and decide to follow him, I dash towards him, he skitters and I die lol

It's okay!
I have Grimm's movements decently memorized and can for the most part, avoid taking a ton of damage the moment we commence with the dance. It's his Cloak Spikes and Putterfish attack that give me the most trouble. My lack of elegance greatly shows for those, but I'm getting better at avoiding them!
