So, true story, on June 29th I decided to take the challenge and attempt to complete the Path of Pain, my first run started around 4pm and ended at 11:40pm. Taking out the time for food, chatting and other things it took around 5 hours to reach the end. In fact I was stuck at the last section for over an hour of that because I had trouble figuring out the very end bit of it. It was bad, I was frustrated, at some points I genuinely felt like crying, 't was fuckin rough. But I managed and was ecstatic!... Untiiiiil I faced the kingsmoulds and effin died. I just... I knew they were gonna be there, I had that spoiled, but I just didn't think they would be an issue. I forgot they do two masks of damage and I've not considered I've only fought them one at a time until then. So I got rekt, and I was a bit dead inside after that. But eventually I just decided "fuck it we're doing this", changed a few charms, and I started over. Now I did use the gate shortcut to skip a couple areas, but I am still impressed that I managed to recover my progress within an hour, likely driven by the power of sheer spite. And I got back to those a-holes and I fucked em up, I keep forgetting that magic is my friend. So at around 1:10am on June 30th I officially completed Path of Pain, not once but twice, and it was a bloody nightmare, but I did it.
